We have a small but growing collection of books on all things Sicilian. Amongst the books are guidebooks to Sicily including a book with hiking tours of the island. Please feel free to enjoy the books, but please do not take them with you. There is high speed internet in the house and SMART TV, linked to satellite TV as well as the internet. The house has air-conditioning, as well as heating in the winter. The staircase that leads to the first and second floors may prove challenging for people with mobility issues. The open staircase also means that the house is not suitable for smaller children. The entire house is there for you. We will personally deal with all the booking details. We have a local agent, Enrico, who will be on hand when you arrive to show you the house and hand over the keys. He will also be on call if there are any problems during your stay, additionally, we will be able to provide you with any further guidance to ensure you have a thoroughly enjoyable experience. If you choose to rent a car, there is no parking space at the house, but there are car parks at the entrance to the island. We can provide details of these. There are also buses from the airport to Ortigia. We will provide you with a map once you have booked our house, showing you how to find it and also where to park. We are passionate about Sicily and Ortigia and are more than happy to recommend things to see and do, including favourite restaurants and bars, beaches, and day trips to the nearby towns (Noto, Modica, Ragusa etc.), so that you can come to enjoy Ortigia as much as we do.
