impeccable and friendly host, very well kept house, I needed it as a base for a week for a job in the area, very clean, well organized and comfortable with well-functioning heating which is useful given the winter zone

I spent a wonderful month in this location - it's clean and comfortable with good wifi for remote working - perfect for what I was after. Maria is a wonderful host who is always responsive and cleaned the place once a week while leaving me nice things for breakfast! She even gave me a lift to and from Catania (c.10km) with my heavy suitcase. Trecastagni is a pleasant town on the slopes of Etna with accessible supermarkets and other essential shops as well as a some nice bars and restaurants and several churches. This location is better for those with private vehicles as the buses to/from Trecastagni are somewhat unreliable and it is a walk of several miles to the nearest train station (Acireale). However for those with vehicles it offers good access to Etna as well as other attractions in the area such as Catania and Acireale.

Fernando and his son are very kind hosts and make you feel welcome from the first moment. Whenever we had a question, Fernando was quick to respond and made sure we were taken care of. The appartment was very spacious, specially outside. The shower was great and so were the beds. Everything was clean as well and they even gave us plenty of bottled water as drinking tapwater is not advisable. The location was great, a very good starting spot to visit Taormina, Etna, Catánia and many more places. Thank you Fernando for letting us stay at your appartment and we definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to explore this part of the island.

Roberta's father welcomed us warmly and did not leave language barriers to hindrance to the chat. Trecastagni is a charming place and the apartment is extremely well located. The photos in the listing do not capture how nice the view from the roof terrace actually is. From it we got many idyllic breakfasts and VIP places to a volcanic eruption. We regret that we went from there.
