It is a quiet, small, cozy guest house. The deck is spacious enough for about 6 people to have a barbecue, etc. Please note that it may feel a little cramped for 4 adults. Since it is a mountain forest, there are insects, but we carefully control insects in the guest house. Please understand if they enter during your stay. If you are not good with insects, etc., I think you will have a little resistance, so please book with that in mind. In winter, it gets below freezing around here. Please note that the heating facilities in this guest house are mainly kerosene stoves and kerosene fan heaters. We also have electric appliances, but if you use too much, the safety device will work (smart meter) and the electricity in the house will flash, so please do not use a lot of electric appliances at once. An earth leakage meter is also installed. A 1000 square meter private villa with 7 spaces. The entire "Rock Forest" has seven main concepts. We offer each "way of spending time". After procuring fresh ingredients locally, move to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and go up the stairs to bring the ingredients to the hearth space. You won't see any other people. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.

The unique experience at the former Japanese traditional Kimono shop(about 97years old house). This family-friendly and the newly renovated house is located in the very traditional district and the calm but convenience area in Nagano city. The house is authentic and unique as it was a traditional Japanese clothing (Kimono) shop before. You would feel like your own home away from home. 5 minutes walk to the Zenkoji temple and 4 minutes to the bus stop for Togakushi national park.
