The place is 200 years old and the house is 100. Timber walls, fresh air, charm, peace and quiet are a good starting point for fine days! Outside there is plenty of room, and a short way down to Santa Claus. Here you can go for a swim, go fishing or go for a spin. On the beach is a large pier, and a small "boathouse". Nice hiking opportunities right on the beach, and many great, marked trails and top hikes in the municipality.

On the farm, you live in Kårhuset. It is originally a granary from 1775, with an extension from 1986. Perfect place for both trip and relaxation. Lovely view of fjords and mountains. Quiet and tranquil surroundings. At Frøynes there are hiking opportunities just outside the door, and on Lofthus local hikes such as Kråkestien, Nosi, Dronningstien and with short driving distance when you knew Oksen and Trolltunga. In Lofthus, there are several eateries: Ekspedisjonen pub, Gjestheimen, Fløy bakery and the convenience store Bunnpris in the centre.

Unique and comfortable stay with new views

Our newly built "sleeping box" is teikna and built by the inexpensive architects in OPAFORM, Espen Folgerø and Marina Bauer, and stands on the 2nd floor in a empty grain barn from 1850 with airy views of Strandavatnet. The box has a 1.80 double bed, but it can put in an extra mattress or cot if needed. In the barn that is located in the building next door, a kitchen, bathroom and toilet have been built. We offer a large double bed (king size). In addition, we can provide an extra bed and/or baby bed if needed.

Lykkeboden at Spikketrå farm

A stay in this unique and historic building feels like a journey back in time. Lykkeboden is a small house on the farmyard. The building previously stood on a field down in the valley where the farm people lived in the summer when there was mowing time. The unique building was rolled down and set up and restored on the farmyard in the 1990s. A few meters from Lykkeboden, a new building with a new bathroom with all amenities is set up. At Spikketrå farm we have sheep, dog and cat, and a child-friendly tuna.

Unique and recently renovated barn apartment with a party venue consisting of a large kitchen, plus a table and chairs seating up to 16 people. The apartment contains two bedrooms, one bathroom, a hall and a large living room with kitchen (65 m2). Most of the floor is tiled with heating cables, and all the appliances are modern. You can wash out of the apartment yourself or order a laundry. The laundry costs 1000 NOK when ordering. Bed linens cost 75 kr per piece to rent, no sleeping bags.
