Monthly Rentals in Volney

The cabin was a great little hideaway! We did lose power and have to leave early, but I suppose that's part of the risk of a cabin in winter.

We stayed a couple days in the mountain cabin. Cabin was comfortable with everything you would need. It has breathtaking views and was very peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the fields and mountains. It is very close to Grayson Highlands for hiking and searching for waterfalls. Made a donation to their non profit to have a tour of the farm of rescued animals. Thank you Connie. You can see their passion and love for the animals and what they are doing. For a wonderful stay near the park and in addition your stay can help support their mission, this is an excellent opportunity for a beautiful vacation.

Amazing hosts. Super friendly. Immediately responsive. Couldn’t ask for better hosts. House is comfortable and neighbor is very quiet and peaceful. Sit on the swing in the backyard or any of the chairs on the deck and enjoy a nice warm breeze and the sunset. Was lucky enough to enjoy the winter snowfall here at the cabin too. Loved watching rabbits and deer in the yard.

This is our 5th or 6th time staying at Caroline's place and we must say it has become our favorite when visiting Ashe County. Located in Grassy Creek means it's close enough to West Jefferson / Jefferson but yet "far enough away" to enjoy peaceful morning sunrises and breathtaking sunsets undisturbed. The house has more than enough space to accommodate my family and in-laws who often travel with us to help with our two small children. The yard was perfect and allowed our almost 2 year old a safe and pleasant spot to roam around. The house is also well furnished making it easy to prepare meals and stay in (which we often choose to do). There were also a great selection of books for our young ones. Overall we loved the residence and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and cozy mountain getaway.
