The surrounding area offers numerous hiking trails and the Ahrsteig passes by the front door. The Nürburgring, Lake Freilingen for swimming and other attractions can be reached in less than an hour.

Due to its elevated location, snow is almost guaranteed in winter, and there is no extreme heat in summer.

In the middle of the woods of the Eifel is the small village of Eichenbach with about 62 inhabitants. Our vacation home is on the edge of the forest. There are several hiking trails along our house. The renovated barn features high ceilings in the living area, a cozy stove, access to the rooftop terrace. The lower floor includes a bathroom + two bedrooms, one of which is a walk-through room. There is a sauna :-) and access to the private garden with a pond. A newly built playground with various play options is located nearby. The barn is situated in the backyard of a house where a family lives. WiFi reception is currently very poor.
