Guest house holiday rentals in Yucatán Peninsula

General: Good value option for Caye Caulker with bikes! Bed: 2 double beds to choose from, 1 hard & 1 soft. We slept on the hard which was comfortable. Bathroom: Shower had hot water & good pressure. 4 bath towels & 2 face washers provided & changed for fresh clean ones after our 2nd night which was nice! Location: quiet area, safe to walk / ride around the island day and night. Walking distance (~10min) to ferry terminal. Location on Airbnb app was dif to actual location. Host: no issues, responsive & friendly person. Other: Bikes included were amazing perk, we used them to get everywhere! Great balcony area to enjoy breakfast in the morning. Fridge provided in room; host was kind to lend us couple of bowls / plates / spoons so that guests can make their own breakfast (host should just provide this ongoing). A couple of 500ml water bottles provided but didn’t go far; host could look to include a free communal drinking water station (similar to other bnb’s) to fill drink bottles.

Stop looking and book this! Safe, private and peaceful. We loved our stay here and were sad to leave. It is even better than the photos. The jungle setting was so peaceful and had so much wildlife, which thrilled our family. The hosts are great communicators and attentive. No issues with directions or check-in. All rules are reasonable and easy to follow. Location felt safe and secure. We had rented a car and the location was absolutely perfect for all the activities on our itinerary. Cenotes, beach, snorkeling, restaurants and stores just a short trip away. This Airbnb was exactly what we were looking for and did not disappoint. Would definitely stay again!

Ileana met us on arrival, responded promptly and the house was just what we expected. Near good restaurants, and easy walking distance to strip. Always felt safe and it was quiet.

We had a pleasant one-week stay. David and wife are friendly, helpful, and accomodating. Groceries, pharmacy, fruit and vegetable markets, and restaurants are all within short walking distance. Always felt safe in the house and neighborhood. The home is is described and we would gladly rent again.

We had a wonderful stay at Flor's place. The place is small but very charming and it's perfect for 1 or 2 people. The glass ceiling really gives it a unique feel. What really shines are the 3 amazing terraces with all kinds of plant life. A lot of thought and sweat equity was put in to create such a fine and peaceful place. The dipping pool is an added bonus after a day of walking around in the Merida heat. One caveat: the spiral staircase requires that you are mobile and not too wide. The location is a 5-minute walk from the Santiago Market and 12-15 minutes from Santa Lucia Park or Plaza Grande. As for hosting, Flor was very helpful and quick to answer all messages we sent and in person, she is truly a delightful person and her family is as well. Our conversations with Flor were always a pleasure. She is the kind of person that you would want to have as a friend. Additionally, she has a fantastic eye for design as can be seen by the way she decorates both inside and out.

All has been super easy with Alejandrina. You can't imagine such a place on the street. It's really green. The end of the street on which the accommodation is located is not necessarily reassuring at first, especially when you are walking. However, we can see that we are really a 10 minute walk to the San Bernardino Monastery and the beautiful Rue La Calzada de los Frailes. Despite the high number of dogs in this area, the nights were very quiet, we slept very well!

Nancy was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and generous with her spectacular home. Our casita had all the little and big extras to make us completely comfortable. We were combining relaxing and working remotely and had excellent wifi speeds and the ability to take a break and swim some laps in her 25 meter pool! Nancy is so generous with her space— it almost felt like we had the whole gorgeous property to ourselves!! And she introduced us to a local Mayan liqueur that we now love — thank you for everything, Nancy!!!!

The stay was great, the loft had the essentials for a comfortable stay, the garden and the tables very well. Easy to get to and close to the Ferry to Isla Mujeres. The service was excellent and we felt comfortable. We definitely come back.

Pino and his family were welcoming and very helpful. His place is walking distance to centro and other parks, which is lovely. There are a lot of amenities nearby and if you’re working, there’s a little table area in the room to set up a laptop.

Miguel and his mom were excellent hosts! Miguel’s English was excellent (making it easy to communicate) but he was outdone by his mom’s cooking!! I highly recommend the breakfast. Delicious!! The room was clean and tho the bed a bit firm, it was a comfortable stay. There is no kitchen or fridge, but this was ok as we were only there for one night. The backyard was beautiful and breakfast at the poolside table was a lovely way to start the day. The pool was not cleaned tho so I didn’t swim. One small issue arouse when the gate wouldn’t open for us to leave, but the host, and all the men on the street, immediately responded to find the problem. In the meantime, Miguel’s mom served us some cold drinks that were very tasty while we relaxed in the yard. Overall, a very nice place to stay with 2 very wonderful hosts.

Sweet Water is a gem of a place with great friendly owners! Loved the outdoor bathroom, king size comfortable bed and hammock chair in the screened in porch. The casita is on a beautiful property surrounded by lush greenery and steps from the water. Having a small bar and restaurant on site was a bonus.

Beautiful place, perfect to disconnect, very well located, private and quiet. Everything you need. We loved it and we will surely come back we will.

The Airbnb looks exactly like in the pictures – but in real life, it’s even more breathtaking. The entire place is very clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell that Mada put great effort into creating a unique experience. We booked the entire Casa Tuch – two gorgeous suites. Upstairs, there’s a living room with a terrace, perfect for relaxing. The open kitchen is absolutely breathtaking! Location: About a 15-minute walk to the city center, easy & affordable Uber rides. 💫 Mada is an amazing host! She is incredibly kind, helpful, and always available. No matter the time, she was there for us, giving great recommendations and ensuring we had the best stay. You can tell she truly cares and puts her heart into making every guest feel at home. She went above and beyond, showing patience, warmth, and genuine kindness. Hosts like her are rare! The place was very clean and we slept well in the bed. We rented a moped and liked that we could bring it inside the coded gate at night for added security. The rooftop pool was great for a refreshing dip and watching the sunset. Lori was responsive in helping out with our needs and requests

We stay at a lot of Airbnb’s and very few of them stand out as Hacienda Xcaret. The owners father lives onsite and was incredibly gracious and kind, always responsive to our many questions and even offered to grab us supplies when he ran to town for himself. There are very limited options for dining nearby so prepare to purchase groceries so you don’t find yourself a hangry mama on Sunday morning when you realize the only breakfast spot nearby is closed! We wouldhave been in quite a bind but Skip offered to allow me to raid his fridge and the eggs and bacon he provided saved this mamas day! It is quite far from pretty much everything, but that was exactly what we wanted. Walking distance to the park that we attended was a huge plus. The grounds are absolutely incredible and you can see the love and care that has been put into their design. I do wish we had decided to rent a car to be able to explore more of the area, but we were perfectly happy to spend our time enjoying the property.
