Holiday rentals with a kayak in Aquitaine

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Philippe is a welcoming host. You feel very good in your home, like at home!!! I'm sorry I didn't discover this place earlier. Great for my business trip close to the business area.

Great stay at Patricia's! Very nice and beautifully decorated house. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped. The bedrooms are very welcoming. We were there in December and made a small fire in the stove. Very beautiful area. Thank you very much.

It was a beautiful place to stay. The beds were good and everything you needed for the stay was there. The bathroom needs an update but the shower was good. The garden and pool were phantastic. The big fridge was a plus. We had a wonderful stay.

Comfortable and very welcoming accommodation, as if you were in your secondary residence: there is everything! Linens (bedroom, kitchen) provided, which is nice to lighten up the luggage! Priscilla was particularly friendly and attentive in her preparation for our arrival. We had a great stay there! You can go there without a second thought - no bad surprises! Thank you very much, Florence and its 3 travel friends.

I spent two great weeks in Eric's home! Many activities are offered, Eric always does her best to ensure that our vacation goes smoothly. A great welcome drink is offered and allows us to connect with local producers and the tourist office who helped us a lot with transportation and activities to do during our stay. Thank you for a great stay!

Very good stay at Aline's in an incredible setting that is the island of Malvy! So much that we almost forgot to leave... Thank you very much to Aline for her help and kindness. Our son loved cycling and going to see the chickens at the back of the garden. Once again, thank you for everything!

We had a great time at this place that was well worth the price. Everything was as described, clean and well-equipped, with even a few extra touches that were very much appreciated. Our host, Pascale, was available and responsive while remaining discreet, which allowed us to fully enjoy our stay with peace of mind. We recommend this place 100% and will be happy to come back if the opportunity arises!

What a lovely little find!! We loved our stay here. It was so peaceful and then there is the beautiful river at the bottom of the garden. I'd love to visit in the summer, as I'm sure it would be a magical place to stay. The village itself has everything you need. We didn't really need to go anywhere. But a bit further afield there is also plenty to offer. Host has been great throughout. Even offering to pick up groceries before we arrived. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a great night, in a relaxing and peaceful environment with birdsong and an exceptional view of the Touvre ( swans, ducks...) The accommodation is tastefully furnished, it is clean. Thanks to the hosts for hosting.

We had a wonderful week at La Tuilerie Grange. David and Caroline provided a warm welcome. The photos on the site are already beautiful, but if you see the estate with the gardens, the terraces and the swimming pool in one word it is fantastic. Well worth experiencing it for yourself. Very good hosting! Emilie and her husband are very understanding and flexible:) Discreet but always available if needed. We had a lovely time despite winter weather ❄️ I recommend it! Attention a lot of single beds but possibility to paste them:)

We had a wonderful stay with our two dogs. Ben made us very welcome, greeting us on arrival and showed us around the property explaining where everything was. The gardens were large and safe and secure for the dogs to roam. We also loved using the private smaller garden attached to the cottage for relaxation. The pool area was well kept and looked inviting but it was too cold to use. The location was very rural and peaceful with a short drive needed to visit boulangerie and restaurants. Ben provided a very detailed information pack with super recommendations for eating out and takeaway pizza. We used one of Ben's canoes to explore the Dordogne and he helpfully drove us to the start and picked us up afterwards. The house was perfect with everything provided and a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Some care was needed to access the upstairs bedroom due to limited headroom on the stairs. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay.

Very nice everything and in front of the river, a lot of tranquility and space to disconnect, the bungalows are very nice and have their charm inside, it is very close to the village, as you can walk, where there are many restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Inside the campsite there is also a pool and a bar that is quite good with some very nice owners and very cheap price to eat. Maya and Didac the owners of the campsite very nice and Campechanos and the truth is that when we asked for something Didac has not had any problem giving it. We went with our two dogs and they really enjoyed it a lot. We liked it so much that we had an extra night. Definitely if we come back in this area we would go back to this campsite.

If you like the countryside , animals and a total change of scenery "2 steps from Bordeaux" go for it! What a treat to wake up surrounded by geese , a wallaby , an alpaca , adorable sheep and goats in such a soothing environment! Not to mention the usable H24 hot tub! A real must especially with children! We will soon return to sunny days enjoy the pool and a meal made on the fire pit in front of the pond! Thank you Anthony and congratulations; don't change anything! 😍

A dream setting, a wonderful accommodation, very high quality amenities and in a state of impeccable cleanliness and a more than attentive welcome... and in addition, everything has been thought out and shaped by the owners. Everything was perfect, and even more than that. We recommend very warmly for those who would like to have a memorable stay.

Great weekend in the mobile home offered by Eric. Beautiful setting, we were able to count the (thousand) cows and stars! Eric is super responsive and friendly. Accommodation true to description!

An ideal place with children. There's nothing missing from the chalet. Yolande is available and welcoming. The lake is very close, easy to access by walking and ideal for the little ones because little depth for long meters. In short, a pleasant stay with our 3-year-old daughter.
