Merseburg is very close to Halle on the Saale in an area between Zschkopau and Leuna, where expectations are rather modest. That's why we were surprised at how beautiful it is and what it is easily accessible to discover. We were lucky with the weather and were able to explore the countryside with the bikes to your heart's content in the early spring. Not only Merseburg itself with the cathedral, treasury and castles is great, so is the area - for example with Bad Dürrenberg and the tomb of the shaman. In contrast, some lost places - industrial facilities; the concrete ruins of a lock for a canal that you never built; a church tower converted into a water tower on a church ruin that has been broken since the 30s war... - The garden house is ideally located - central, quiet and with great views over the valley of the Saale. And the landlords are very friendly people that it is a pleasure to vacation here.

Great location, lots of restaurants nearby. You can walk to most places. The apartment is beautiful.

Birte was an amazing host. Due to the key box, we had the possibility of flexible check-in and check-out. You can tell here they work with a lot of love. We have also received a little attention for us and our four-legged friend. The half-timbered house is lovingly decorated and located in a picturesque landscape. Thank you for the hospitality

The place was as described. It is located in a street with various shopping and restaurants and is easily accessible by bus and tram. The equipment is good and the apartment is clean and maintained. Thanks to pin codes on all doors, no keys are needed. The fridge was stocked with a few paid snacks and drinks. The beds were comfortable but relatively soft. The living room with the second sleeping accommodation is located directly to the courtyard of an elementary school. On weekdays, you will be woken up by the school bell on time at 8am. We will be happy to come back!

I was worried at first when I drove over from Dresden. It was the country side and very quiet. When I got there, I am taken aback by the beauty of the surrounding. It’s actually on the hills. Absolutely beautiful! Cora is at another level! Easily the best host I have ever met! She provided me with loads of information on where to shop etc even though she is down with a bad viral infection. The apartment was fabulous and it is well stocked with necessities and if you need something she didn’t provide you can always ask! All in all, I didn’t regret staying there with my family!

We had a great stay at Zeitlofs. All descriptions and information in the house were tip-top and very helpful. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The entire property is not only exceptionally charming, cozy and tastefully decorated, but everything (including sauna and bathrooms) is in excellent condition. In addition, Alfred is a very likeable host. Check-in and communication worked great. We will be happy to come back!

it was a great place to stay in for people who likes quite areas like us, we expected to find amenities and supermarkets nearby, but no issues because we had our car, one point of improvement was to add a washing machine and dryer because it is a must, specially if you stay more than 2 days.

Very nice apartment that lacked nothing. We felt like at home from the beginning. Very quiet location, at night you could only hear the rippling of the creek. The apartment was very high quality and equipped with a number of dishes, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There was also a basic supply of consumables. In addition, communication with the hosts was very quick and straightforward. We will be happy to come back :)

Beautifully decorated apartment, although it was a bit noisy at night thanks to the old windows, as the cars/trucks pass by... with a deep sleep but no problem.

The apartment is very tastefully and lovingly furnished, it is bright and the balcony is fantastic with the view of the Steinhuder Meer. Walks directly on the water are almost possible from the front door. Carola is easily accessible. We felt completely comfortable, thank you Carola!

Thomas's Airbnb exceeded our expectations! The communication with Thomas was very good and in the accommodation you felt right at home, as everything is available - with love for details and small things. Especially with a dog, the accommodation is in a great location, as there is a park right next door and you are quickly in a beautiful location for short walks. I would book this place again anytime if I plan to go back to the area:-) Thank you Thomas!

We were traveling as a family and found everything it needed for all of us. From the crib to a good selection of glasses for the evening. However, the accommodation is not only well equipped, but was also homely for arrival. A pleasant stay!

We were received very warmly 😊 For our little 2 month old son, even a bed was prepared without which we asked for it, really very accommodating. The apartment has everything you need, even a way to sit outside was offered to us ☀️ If you have any questions or problems, we were immediately kindly helped. Shopping is very close.
