Our relaxing retreat set on the edge of a quaint hamlet. Our 'Beau Geste' stone barn is full of charm and family appeal. Both the main & kiddies pools are heated and have lots of sun loungers dotted around. The hot tub is great to unwind in with a glass of your favourite bubbly! The garden is stunning & lovely to wander around, whilst the children's play area is enormous & full of stuff to discover for kids of all ages. You'll be leaving with fond memories of your French holiday chez nous.

Outside is an enclosed space for al fresco dining and a splash pool to unwind with a glass of wine. in the privacy of this enclosed space.Situated in a small hamlet a few minutes from the historic market town of Melle and an hour's drive from the stunning city of La Rochelle. Includes a double bed and double sofa bed could have 2 adults, 2 children or 4 people for short stay! Sorry no pets!

Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

The Little Secret

We welcome you to our "Maison du Gardien" ( The Caretaker’s House) a 19th Century distiller's house which has been lovingly renovated to create a place of contemporary design, contemplation and relaxation. Located next to our own home you can enjoy an evening meal on your own private terrace but also get the use of our pool, gym, bikes and parking on our gated property. The two bedroom house is light and airy with beautiful views over our garden which reaches down to the river Charente.

Mulberry Gîte is a cozy, spacious retreat in a peaceful semi-rural setting—ideal for relaxing after a day exploring. Enjoy nearby Chef-Boutonne and beyond, with everything you need for a memorable stay. During the cooler months (January–May and October–December), firewood is provided for the log burner; additional wood can be purchased if needed. Electric wall heaters: We include an allowance of 15 kWh per day usage . Usage above this will be charged at €0.1481 per kWh.

In a green setting, we offer a quiet, warm, autonomous loft, a few steps from the city center, close to shops and 20' walk from the SNCF train station. We have preserved the authenticity of the place and provide a complete service (linens, cleaning, hot drinks, private parking for your bicycles or motorcycles only, firewood...). In 40 m² we can accommodate 1 to 4 people independently (one 160 cm bed, one 130 cm sofa bed).
