Farmstay holiday rentals in Cheshire West and Chester

A perfect two day stopover with all the home comforts we needed on our trip from North Yorkshire to Hereford. We really appreciated the fresh milk, orange juice, bread and cereals so that we could easily make breakfast each morning. Roger and Janet provide an excellent self-contained airbnb which we'd highly recommend.

We had an absolutely magical stay at this lodge for my 2 year olds birthday! It was extremely easy to travel into Chester from the lodge! The lodge itself was extremely clean and spacious! The beds were very comfortable. We absolutely loved the donkeys next door and our little boy was obsessed! Every morning that’s how he started the day! We would love to return here in the future! Can’t recommend enough!

Lovely and peaceful place to stay. A group of us stayed for my hen do and had the best time! In such a beautiful area and a bonus that there’s a great Chinese 2 minutes down the road!! There’s friendly alpacas and sheep in the field next to the property, it’s beautiful on a sunny morning drinking your coffee!

Wonderful stay in the countryside! We had a great few days at the Outbuilding in Tarvin. It was super peaceful and a beautiful place to rest in between our trips around the area. The best part was the big glass windows that we could open up and get the warm morning sun coming in. We had everything we needed and the value was amazing! Highly recommend!

Lovely comfortable and clean cottage. Great views over the farm and animals and very quiet and peaceful. Modern bathrooms, plenty of hot water and good heating in the cottage. Hosts very friendly. Good location for Chester, several National Trust properties and gardens.

We were greeted by our host who was extremely pleasant and very helpful. The property was spotless and very homely. We had a hamper stocked with some lovely bits and pieces such as cereal, biscuits, crisps. Rooms had ample bedding and pillows. Surroundings were absolutely beautiful and Eddie and Andy the cats were very friendly. We look forward to returning in the not so distant future. Cannot recommend highly enough

We absolutely loved our stay at Charlotte and David’s. It was everything we could have wished for and more for a girlie reunion. Absolutely spotless, modern, new, light, comfy beds, white linen & fluffy fresh white towels. The Hide was equipped with everything you needed & more, with beautiful lake and countryside views. Charlottes attention to detail and extra touches didn’t go unnoticed. Loved the caring and kindly thought out welcome basket and info too … & Charlotte a pleasure to communicate with before & during our stay. So enjoyed our tepee yoga and breath-work wake & shake class as well as Charlottes recommends. Lots to do in the area and exciting places to eat in Knutsford. Thank you so much … we are already planning our next reunion to revisit and stay with you again in 18 months time! Can’t speak highly enough of The Hide, The Farm Club & concept, staff, & onsite cafe. Totally outstanding! Thank you x

We stayed here for a hen weekend and we had the best weekend. Lovely place to stay, plenty of room, clean, all facilities you could ever need and so on. It was so amazing to see the animals every day, if you’re looking for countryside farm vibes but not out in the sticks, this place is for you! Amazing location, plenty of shops near by, we got an uber into Liverpool city centre also. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. 10/10 definitely recommend

The perfect stay. We came to Jayne’s for a special night away for our anniversary. Had a great meal at the hand & trumpet. Came back & stargazed with the fire going for hours. Next to a lovely farm with beautiful views, very private space around the shepherds hut. Cosy space, warm and very well decorated inside. Everything you need is there. We will have 100% be coming back over the summer and following years.

Absolutely amazing house. A great location. Spotless,well equipped. A big plus for me.......the heating. The house was snug at all times! Cant thank Steff enough for a great break. Highly recommend!

We were thrilled with this airbnb. It was beautiful and spacious. One of our party was in a wheelchair and was able to get around downstairs with ease. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for them (which is a room in it's own right, not the lounge with sofa beds as I thought from the pictures). The downstairs bathroom was also great for them. Gemma had put out ramps for the slight step on the entry door, and a step inside approaching the lounge. She had also rolled up the rugs to make it easier for them to get around. She was proactive and always responsive to texts. There was room for our four cars outside! We often saw Gemma go past with her beautiful horses and she stopped for a chat. I can recommend this place with enthusiasm, it is a haven of peace and comfort. (You don't need a code to get into the gate even though it looks like it from the pictures, but you will get a key-box code for the front door key a day or two before you get there).

Diane is an amazing host and this Airbnb is truly a gem. The location is beautiful, quiet and the views from the cottage our over the fields are amazing. The cottage is luxurious spacious and incredibly well equipped. The kitchen had everything we could want including a proper espresso machine. The local towns are good and have plenty of restaurants and shops, our host also shared several amazing local dog walks with us.

We stayed for 2 nights in the penthouse and it was amazing! We didn’t meet the host but there were noted left in the information pack in where we stayed with recommendations about the grounds and the area, we ended up taking her advice of a lovely walk around the fields and gardens on the property to see all the animals. We also had access to the 200 year old Victorian kitchen, which was great, and the games room, which we used both nights and made lots of use out of the snooker table, darts board, record player and more. All in all, we wouldn’t change a single thing about it and would absolutely recommend it!!

Our 2-day stay at Cherry Tree Farm through Airbnb was truly enjoyable. Our host was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. Cherry Tree Farm is a lovely place with a beautiful garden that added to the overall charm of our stay. Our host was gracious enough to let us explore the garden, which we found to be a peaceful and serene spot. What made our stay special was the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our host was a pleasure to chat with and provided us with great local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The accommodations were clean and cosy, ensuring a pleasant stay. We appreciate our host's hospitality and the opportunity to experience Cherry Tree Farm. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with a friendly host, we recommend considering this location. My husband and I rented 3 cottages for our family of 10. All the cottages are beautiful. One of the cottages was upgraded so we could all get together for meals etc. There was a trampoline for my grandchildren to play on. We also went on lovely walks along the Canal, which conveniently had a pub at the end of it. We would definitely stay there again. Collette was a wonderful host.

Great place for a get together. Both sides had hot tubs and they were great with checking in and out!

Chris and Collette were very responsive to any messages sent and madd our Christmas break relaxing.

Our family had a lovely long stay in the Cheshire countryside. The barn is perfect for a young family like ours: it had everything we needed and the hosts are really thoughtful, too. We will be back!
