Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Costa del Sol Occidental

We had a very happy four day stay in September, with five of our family from Australia, Spain and UK. The property is in a quiet area with a lovely garden and large swimming pool. It is only a five minute walk from the local Aldi supermarket and the bus stop to Estepona. Various restaurants are within easy walking distance. Although we did not have a car, there was space to park outside the house. The house was really well equipped, clean and comfortable. Our only challenge was the narrow metal spiral staircase leading up to the second floor bedroom and bathroom, which required a certain agility! We would definitely stay there again.

This lovely and unique cottage was perfect for the two of us for a week in November. We were able to sit around the pool at times and really enjoyed the outside seating area which overlooked the courtyard with trees and birdlife. 🥰enormous wide double bed..We loved Bologna Beach, beautiful sand with dunes at the end, and just a handful of people around. The kite surfing along this coastline at other beaches was spectacular, we have never seen anything like it. An enormous thank you to Frank the owner who assisted me in getting my phone back when I lost it inTarifa. We flew LHR/Gibraltar airport with BA and this meant we had to cross the border into Spain to collect our car hire which was straightforward, but a bit unusual for us. We stopped at Mercadona supermarket en route, as we were not within walking distance of any restaurants, and stocked up with food incl. eggs, bacon, tortillas, salad, bulgar and dips, and this all came in very handy indeed for very relaxing evening meals

Karlien is a great host. Available for any help needed. Great at communicating and getting back to you quickly. This is a lovely villa with sea and mountain views close to town and the sea and a supermarket up the road. I would love to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. John and Elizabeth made sure everything you need is there. Our boys loved the beach toys. Also, the house has it's own parking spot, very close to the house, which is very convenient. We would recommend staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Casa Amaryllis. The property was perfect for our group, providing spacious surroundings and all facilities that we were hoping for in a very pleasant location. We are particularly grateful to Franck as host, for accommodating our unexpected early arrival, his recommendations and directions for local restaurants and amenities and for dropping by during our stay, he was an excellent host. We loved our stay at Dominic’s place. First time trip to Gibraltar and it was perfect. Walked from the airport in 10 mins, across the runway, a big novelty especially as I’m a bit of an aviation geek😁 Easy to jump on a bus outside to most locations (bus info is helpfully printed out in apartment along with other local attraction info) or walk the 10/15 mins into the heart of town, ocean village etc. loads of bars/restaurants etc. East beach is lovely for a swim and 7-8 min walk. Spotlessly clean, beds super comfy, we had everything we needed. I now have to buy an egg chair for home as our 14 year old loved it. The balconies were amazing, couldn’t get much closer to The Rock. Dominic was so quick to respond to questions and we were able to drop our cases in the apartment early after arriving at lunchtime & then wander into town with just our hand luggage bags . Thanks for a great experience😁

Malin contacted me a few days prior to the stay to make sure sleeping arrangements were all set for the 3 children I would have with me. I got really clear instructions on how to check in on the first day and it was obvious on arrival that careful thought had gone into making sure the children and I could settle. The apartment was a lovely base for exploring Gib - well situated near the marina for bars, restaurants and town. The complex pools are lovely. We had an amazing stay!

Very good location, a few meters from the beach through a pedestrian access. The house had everything you need to spend a few relaxing days both on the beach and in the apartment itself. We went with a dog and the garden is a plus, it also has direct access to the community pool. Lana gave us directions to nearby beaches for dogs that are really good. I recommend it 100%.

Our stay in Alejandra's apartment in Nerja was simply perfect. The place was impeccably clean, very well equipped and tastefully decorated, which made us feel at home from the start. The location was great, close to everything but in a quiet area ideal for relaxing. Alejandra was an exceptional host: attentive, friendly, and always willing to help us with any questions or recommendations we need. Your hospitality made our Nerja experience even more special. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy unforgettable days on the Costa del Sol. We look forward to coming back soon!

The host is an attentive and pleasant person who showed us the entire place in detail. The place is fascinating, spacious, beautiful and everything is very clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking and more.

We spent a week at Bruno and Darifa’s place and loved every minute. The appartment is immaculate, beautifully decorated, extremely well equipped with a view to die for. Bruno and Darifa greeted us warmly despite our late arrival and made us feel very welcome. The location of the appartment is perfect, it’s very quiet and calm but only a quick drive or bus journey to Malaga if you want some night life. There are also more local bars and restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be returning to this amazing location.

My parents, who are in their late 60s, stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The place was very comfortable for them, and communication with the host was smooth and easy. They weren’t very familiar with the Airbnb system or things like parking cards, but the host was very helpful and made everything easy for them. Most of all, the location is perfect—right in the center, which made sightseeing super convenient. Highly, highly recommend this place!

The apartment is incredibly well appointed and very clean. Whether coffee machines, kitchen utensils or washing machine, everything is there. 2 small chairs for the beach are also available. The beach is not even 5 minutes away. Bars and restaurants are also close. We were very pleased.

The apartment is very comfortable and safe. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is a new built with spacious private parking in the garage under the building. City centre is located on the same street level (no stairs). Access to the beach across the street (via stairs). There is an elevator in the city centre that takes you to the beach for .50 cents. Located in a residential neigbourhood but close to shops, restaurant and beach. Fran, the caretaker, was of great help and always checking if we were okay. We had a fantastic week! Thank you Fran.

Very nice apartment, well equipped, well located everything is within walking distance. My daughters and I had a great week at Michèle and José's who had even left chocolates for Easter to the delight of my little ones! I already miss the views from the balcony! Looking forward to coming back soon.
