Welkom in het bosrijke Exloo, gelegen op de Hondsrug in Drenthe. Wij wonen zelf in het monumentale treinstation van Exloo uit 1903, aan de NOLS spoorlijn, van Zwolle tot Delfzijl. deze spoorlijn is opgericht in 1899 en opgeheven in 1945. Deze spoorlijn is nu een mooi wandelpad! Naast ons huis staat een geheel vrijstaande en gloednieuw gerenoveerde woning van 2 verdiepingen met genoeg privacy en eigen ingang voor max. 6 pers. Er is gratis parkeerruimte, en een eigen terras in gehele privacy.

Idyllic Bedandbreakfastwalden( wâlden is the Frisian word for forests) is located in the National landscape of Northern Frisian forests. Characteristic is the ‘smûke’ scenery with thousands of miles of elzensingels, dykswâlen (wood ramparts) and hundreds of pingos and pools. The area has unique flora and fauna. The biodiversity here is great. A short distance from Groningen, Leeuwarden, Dokkum and the Ydillian Wadden Islands. The area is very suitable for hiking, biking, boating.

Our historic property consists of a 120-year-old schoolhouse and an approx. 100-year-old town hall in the midst of untouched nature on a park-like property. In the old schoolhouse, the Alte Schule vacation home extends over 2 floors with a living space of approx. 140 square meters. In the annex of the old town hall is the guest wing with a wellness area on the first floor and the 2 apartments Samtmuschel (approx. 60 sqm) and Herzmuschel (approx. 50 sqm) on the second floor.
