B&B MATSUKAZE[Private Traditional Japanese house]

NaidaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay. Yuya was a great host - nothing was too much trouble and he was always going above and beyond. The breakfasts in the adjoining cafe with the locals and all the history and antiques in the house were a highlight. The home is in the old part of town and there is a real sense of history wandering through the streets. There is an amazing and reasonably priced restaurant/bar 2 minutes walk away and our kids loved it. The local train station is an easy walk and takes you to local attractions like the 48 waterfalls walk, ninja region etc. Would recommend.

Best for groups (Breakfast included)

KayraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Shuji and his wife, Miyumi were such kind and friendly hosts. From greeting us at the station and giving us a ride to their house to the wonderful breakfast and dinner they prepared for us, everything was absolutely top notch. We also felt right at home and even got to experience a traditional Japanese style tatami room. They were very willing to provide us with recommendations for things to do around Himeji during our stay. We highly recommend this place! Thank you again, Shuji and Miyumi!

Quiet B&B in Pottery town Mashiko - Tatami room

RachelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our family felt so welcomed by Yuriko and her family. Delicious breakfast. The electric bikes were very useful for exploring around Mashiko. Yuriko was also willing to drop us off and pick up in her car. Generous ceramic gifts to take home. Such wonderfully warm hearted hosts, who we highly recommend if you are staying in Mashiko.

Nozawa Onsen Nagano Lodge SoraNozawa2

KateRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved staying with Linda and Leo and meeting the other guests. They are great hosts and make you feel like you are coming into their home. The location was right next to a public onsen which was perfect for using after long snowboard days. It was also across the street from the bus stop and a only a few minutes walk to the main center of town. The rooms were warm and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed our stay- thank you so much!!

Jingfu Holy Land. The tour is very convenient. Going out is Uji River and Bitter West Bridge. The boss is super nice. I just entered the store and put my first season OP. The tatami is also very comfortable to sleep on.

Twin/Large double bed room with shared facilities

CamilleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay was beyond what we expected. The host went above and beyond to help us with getting the most out of our trip. This was our first time in Japan. The next time we come to nagano we will definitely be staying here again. 10/10 recommended for people coming to ski and enjoy small ski town vibes.

B&B&wifi ! Great access to Tokyo, Narita, Disney.6

JonathanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Motoko was very hospitable, and used some English with us since we couldn't speak much Japanese. She also made us breakfast-to-order each day which was *amazing*. The overall environment felt warm and welcoming, and me and my two co-guests were very comfortable. You should know that this is someone's home with a shared kitchen/living room. You and your fellow guests have a more private living space which includes a washing area, bedrooms and other necessities. (and the host has her own space upstairs as well, so you still have a fair amount of privacy regardless). As long as you're ok with that, this will be a great stay!

Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Breakfast incl./KINGYOYA renovated traditional house/Deluxe Room

JasonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had just a perfect stay here, the Kyoto way. We stayed for one night and the experience was above and beyond because of the host's effort to make the shared space really comfortable and welcoming, and also because of the presence of Kyoto's unique charm and vibe in this neighborhood. Not like downtown or near the river, this neighborhood is highly residential and full of local energy. We rent a bike from them in the afternoon and just rode around the neighborhood. Within biking distance there are thousand-year old tea house, numerous local restaurants & shops that tastes way better than they look, a very popular local osen, and a fantastic izakaya restaurant next to it. The house itself is preserved well and functions all good. Will absolutely book next time, and highly recommend to anyone who wants a more authentic local experience.

yanglan 民泊 日本语 中国语

Jin KangRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Thank's for being so kind, Lan. The breakfast was also delicious. Despite not being able to speak Korean, you tried your best. The surroundings were quiet and I could feel the unique feeling outside of the Japanese metropolitan area. Only the house is occupied. It's not even a bit.

Onigiri (Western style)

reimuRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had a very happy time here.🥰 The owner and his wife are very friendly and warm, and when you stay here, you can fully enjoy the life of the locals as if you were returning to your own home. The breakfast prepared by the host is also delicious and enthusiastically searches for information and ideas. They were really kind and friendly, and I couldn't express the happiness and peace I felt here in words, and it was really unfortunate. I recommend this place 1000%!️

Pension Petit House 4 Special Room in Myoko Kogen

TabathaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This little place is a gem and the hosts are amazing! Though you can’t ski in/out, the hosts will give you a lift to any resort for the day and pick you up. They can also drive you to the restaurants in Akakura town. You can even order dinner in and the food was delicious! I would stay here again if I was visiting the area in the future.
