It was a very quiet and cozy place with care from the owner. It was very convenient because it was close to three high-quality hot springs in Oku Kumano. The bread for breakfast was very delicious. I want to use it again.

Yumiko-san and her husband are extremely warm and helpful. We loved our stay at their cottage.

The whole family used it, but the owner was kind to our children and our grandmother, sometimes having fun, and we had a good time. There was also an irori fireplace, and the food was delicious, and it was a night of drinking and talking. Thank you very much.

Makoto sen is an experienced host with great local recommendations. We enjoyed the free loan bikes to ride around the neighborhood. The place is about 45 min by public transport to central Osaka but we really enjoyed the quiet and the authentic neighborhood with narrow lane ways and great ramen shops to explore. Great value accommodation.

Very responsive to our messages. Picked us up from the station on check-in and dropped us off at the airport on check-out. Peaceful location. Friendly people who made sure that all of our needs were met.

It was a very beautiful and very nice place.The fireplace in the house was nice, and we had a worry-free stay by telling us how to use it.There were no insects, etc., and the cleaning was carefully cleaned.Leo, the toy poodle who lives right next door, was very cute.It was on the way to making a sauna, so we'd love to stay again if we get the chance.Thank you very much.

This spacious and charming house is conveniently located within a 15-minute drive from the Shigakogen ski resort. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, and there’s a comfy dining area where you can enjoy a shabu-shabu dinner with ease. Fresh ingredients can be sourced from a nearby supermarket, which is just a 15-minute drive away.

Hiro scored 10/10 as a host. He was communicative, friendly, and helpful beyond expectation. I don't imagine our holiday to Japan would have been close to the experience we had without Hiro as a host. He picked us up from the station, provided travel to many local destinations, and provided fantastic suggestions for things to do in the area and beyond. He was a wealth of information about Japanese culture and showed genuine interest in ensuring our experience in Azumino was meaningful and memorable. The guest house was lovely, in a quiet location but walkable access to nearby cafes, and an onsen! One thing I suggest is to hire a car in this area as it is a rural area, and taxis to the station and shopping areas can be quite expensive. Without Hiro to the rescue we would have been a bit stuck. We caught a train and free shuttle bus to the nearest ski resorts which were amazing. If you are looking to experience Japanese life beyond the bustle of Tokyo, a stay here is a must!

This is our second time staying with Tomo and once again we had an excellent experience! We utilized this location for a weekend in Nikko. Tomo provided many local recommendations and that made our time even better. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Lianne is a super friendly and responsive host. The place is cozy as your own home with the great pellet stove.
