After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. I don't get to meet other people. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. The result is Japanese craftsmanship at its best and we are very proud to be able to share the result with the rest of the world. Check our other house as an alternate option @ Reikaku Kiyomizu-Gojo

IORI SHIROYAMA is located on a hill overlooking Takayama and is a vila of traditional Japanese architecture, only one group per night. We have created a peaceful and high-quality space using natural materials and traditional Hida crafts. After detoxifying in the sauna, enjoy a retreat to shed your daily fatigue. You will be staying in a freestanding house surrounded by 120 hectares of quiet forest. The house is located inside a highland resort in the Yatsugatake area at an altitude of 1400 meters.Staying between the mountains and beautiful nature will revitalize you mentally and physically. Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. It is conveniently located about 15mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass, Onigawara (Japanese gargoyle roof tiles), and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns.
