Kihachikan South Nozawa Onsen

Kihachikan South is a luxurious and homely family chalet. It has three bedrooms; one double, one twin and one smaller single room. The light filled, open plan kitchen and living room features a locally made oak kitchen that includes a Miele oven and induction hob and Miele dishwasher. The kitchen is fully supplied with all the main amenities including; a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and full cooking utensils should they be required. The comfy sofa seating area focusses around a cast iron pellet stove and the latest Bang & Olufsen television and sound system including live feed from the ski hills and Netflix. The daily readings from the traditional barograph will keep you ahead of the weather apps …….. possibly! The bedrooms maintain a traditional feel with shoji windows, wooden beams and authentic wall coverings with the addition of discreet blinds, wooden flooring and western style beds. The bedroom wardrobes in Japanese oak were made to order in Nagano. The bathrooms include walk in showers with locally made hinoki shower benches. The upstairs bathroom with both slate and wooden flooring also contains a separate seating area and large bath tub. The upstairs bathroom enjoys great views over to Togari and Mount Myoko. Dyson hair dryers are supplied in the two main bedrooms. The artwork throughout the Kihachikan South is a mixture of original Japanese woodblock prints and an extensive collection of original 16th & 17th century antique maps of Asia. Kihachikan South has a Miele washing machine and separate Miele clothes dryer.The ski, board and boot room is downstairs and shared with Kihachikan North and contains snow shoes for guest use (when available).

The whole house can accommodate 9 people. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the view outside the window is pleasant. 3 km to Hakuba Happo-one Ski Resort, 2 km to Goryu 47 Ski Resort. Surrounded by mountains, you can walk or jog nearby, suitable for a holiday with family and friends. Fully furnished, wireless wifi, fully furnished, floor heating, air conditioning, drying room, washing machine, hot tub. Essentials include face towels, bath towels, slippers, and 3 free parking spaces in front of the door. Special note: 10,000 yen/hour for late check-out without reason, 50,000 yen for smoking indoors. The design and supervision of this listing was done by the Ryosuke Fujii Architectural Institute fujiilab. The listing has 3 bedrooms, 2 beds each, and can accommodate up to 6 people. Eco Land's restaurants are about a 5-10 minute walk away. There are also cafes and restaurants right near the listing. Happo-one Ski Resort and Nagi Mountain Slope are about 5 minutes away by car. The Hakuba Valley winter shuttle bus stop is a 5-minute walk. Free pick-up and drop-off between Hakuba Station or bus stops in Hakuba Village and the listing are available once at check-in and once at check-out. Nunoya Ryokan is located on Nakamachi-dori Street, where historic buildings line the street in Matsumoto. There is no elevator, so you need to climb the stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors. We have renovated a small wooden hut by woods. It stands on a plateau area over 1,000m elevation. When I was a child, my one of a dream was building my secret place like this by myself. And the dream had come true at last! I hope you remember your childhood memory and feel wooden warmth by handmade in beautiful nature. This is a best area for hiking in forests and visiting beautiful lakes. The hut is good size to stay for a couple and a family or single.

Renovated to be open, modern and spacious our chalet is only 20 minutes drive from Nagano City, Togakushi and Iizuna ski resorts. It is less than 5 minutes walk to many cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter.
