The stand-out feature of this inn is its one-of-a-kind ‘egg sauna’. This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can only have here, surrounded by the gentle warmth of a wood-burning stove. Inside, there is also an irori (traditional hearth) characteristic of a traditional kominka house. You can experience traditional Japanese living, whether it’s enjoying a hotpot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own ingredients and cooking utensils, such as skewers. The inn is located in a quiet hamlet called Kobusa, nestled in the mountains of Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture. Right nearby is Nishi-Awakura Village, which is attracting attention as a village focused on regional revitalisation and relocation, and which is surrounded by a beautiful, nature-rich ‘satoyama’ landscape. Limited to one group per day, it is a small building, so 2-3 people can relax. The building is made of natural materials such as plaster walls, rice husk floors, and bedrooms made of Hinoki wood from Mie Prefecture, so you can relax with peace of mind. In winter, you can use the wood stove. Special acoustic wooden speakers let you listen to music on records, CDs, and Bluetooth. You can also have a simple farming experience in the fields of the June Farm, where we grow pesticide-free vegetables.
