Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Midlothian

Wynajęłam mieszkanie dla moich rodziców na tydzień i jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni. Mieszkanie było czyste i wyglądało dokładnie jak na zdjęciach. Ponadto, Marcin okazał się bardzo miły, pytał, czy niczego nam nie brakuje, i odpowiadał na wszystkie pytania. Jeszcze raz dziękuję za wspaniały pobyt! :) ENG: I rented this apartment for my parents for a week, and we were very happy with our choice. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like in the pictures. Additionally, Marcin was very good host, asked if we needed anything, and answered all our questions. Once again, thank you for a wonderful stay! :)

Heathers place is in a lovely location with stunning views from the rear garden, the property is equally as nice , clean and tidy and the kitchen is well equipped, would definitely book again

A really lovely and well-kept accommodation, close to Edinburgh but set in a beautiful country estate. The cottage itself is spacious, cosy and very well equipped. If you have dogs and/or small children it’s ideal, as you can walk from the doorstep without dealing with any busy roads. There’s an excellent fenced off area which keeps your dogs penned in. If you’re a cook, the equipment is very good and plenty of utensils. Children’s bib and plate also available, toys in the sitting room. Heating is very efficient and we were provided firewood which was nice. Definitely recommend for families for cosy holidays and outdoors activities and also good proximity to Edinburgh- the local towns also have trains to the city.

Fantastic property. Luxury feel. Top end furnishings, appliances. Bed felt like a cloud! Everything you need is there. Welcome drinks & snacks a lovely touch. Not far to find local food shops, takeaways, places of interest. Rosslyn Chapel a must see.

My husband and I stayed at the Water Tower for 3 nights. It is beautifully restored with so much attention to detail. In arriving we explored it in total awe. It is very comfortable and each bedroom has an ensuite toilet and hand basin. The bathroom is totally wonderful - especially having a bath. The sitting room at the top has a sensational view and is very comfortably furnished. As previous reviews have mentioned the Water Tower is well equipped and we were made very welcome by Susan and Gerry and greeted with homemade muffins and our choice of breakfast ingredients. The Water Tower is really well located, with Morrisons, a wonderful Indian Restaurant called Itihaas for dinner and an incredibly convenient bus service to Edinburgh (£2 per ride - use your card on your phone to pay) - all just around the corner. The Water Tower is an incredibly special place and we would stay again if/when we come back to Edinburgh. Thank you very much Susan and Gerry for hosting us.

La casa ha sido espectacular. Hemos ido un grupo de 6 amigas y hemos disfrutado de desayunar en el cocina muy amplia y con absolutamente todo lo que puedas necesitar. La casa estaba súper limpia y muy bonita decorada. Sin ninguna duda recomiendo este alojamiento

It is a gem of a place that is particularly well-suited for family accommodation provided not bigger than four or five people. The environment is quiet and the property has a distinct green feel to it. The distance to the city centre means that one has the advantage of seeing and experiencing some of the greenery and beauty of Edinburgh.

Totally perfect for a solo or couple stay in a lovely new build apartments. It’s was perfect for my every need.

We had a fantastic stay at Ted’s place! The accommodation was clean, warm, and very comfortable, with modern furniture and everything in perfect working order. It’s in a great location — close to town and right next to a bus stop, which made getting around super convenient. Ted was incredibly friendly and proactive, providing us with all the information we needed ahead of time. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and hospitality. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others!

Carolyn is a great host. My family had the pleasure to meet her. She is very friendly. The property was so nice and clean and had all the amenities needed. It’s a comfortable place and everything we needed was nearby. My kids had a wonderful time.

We had a great time - we were able to walk both to observatory hill and to the meadows/university main campus. Beautiful place with great styling.

A casa é linda e muito confortável, cozinha completa. Estava tudo muito limpo e organizado. A rua em frente é bem tranquila e foi muito fácil estacionar. O anfitrião foi bastante solicito e respondia bem rápido. Com certeza voltaria a me hospedar novamente!

We stayed for 5 weeks, and their place felt like home from day one! The location is great in regard to day to day life, like grocery stores! If you want to go into the city center, it’s very easy as 3 different bus lines take you straight there! The bedrooms were comfortable and the couch was great too! Our kids loved the bunk beds! The kitchen was well equipped and had lots of storage! Being on the top floor was nice, especially during sunrise! If we are ever back in Edinburgh, we will definitely stay here!

Very happy with our stay, a lovely, nice quality apartment. Jack was super responsive, helpful and accommodating. Nice private apartment block, was very quiet and very close to the local retail park which has everything you need. Thanks!

The stay with Gergana and Radoslav met our expectations. The host was very friendly, communicated immediately, gave us a huge amount of information about what to do in Edinburgh, was interested in how we were staying, how the night was like, how we were feeling, which I highly appreciate. The apartment matched the photos exactly, was beautifully tidy, fragrant and clean. As other guests have written, the entrance may put someone off, but don't worry, being there will make up for it. We would recommend our hosts Gergana and Radoslav to anyone wanting to spend time in Edinburgh.

Loved our stay, Tara went above and beyond to help us with our queries and she left a lovely postcard wishing my mother a happy birthday. The acommodation was squeaky clean, really nicely heated and perfect for what we needed that weekend. I loved all the guides and information that was available too, it really helped with our planning of our trip. Would most certainly stay there again, thank you so much for all your help we really appreciate everything you did for us :)

We had a lovely stay. Sue was very quick to reply to any questions, and sorted out an issue with the remote control rapidly. We loved the peaceful views over the playing fields at the back, and the proximity to the bus stop/very quick Uber journey for trips into town. The apartment has the decor of a posh hotel, but the freedom of self-catering. Nice little cafes for breakfast a short walk away. Thank you Sue and Grant!

Great flat in a great location, with very receptive hosts. Bathrooms could do with a really deep clean- that’s the only negative.
