Starting with "Fuse Onsen" and "Kasuga Onsen", there are several hot springs if you use a car. You can also go to Karuizawa, Mt. Nobe and Kiyosato in a small hour by car, so you can climb to Mt. Yatsugatake and trek to Saku Kogen National Quasi-Park. It is a rice spot comparable to Niigata, local sake made with a thousand songs of water poured from Mt. Yatsugatake and Mt. Asama. There are "Pinkojizo", "Sueno Castle Toes" and "Nakajima Park" on the walking course. There is also a large supermarket "Tsuruya" in 15 minutes on foot, and a roadside station "Healthy Terrace Sakunami" in front of the Saku Minami IC, so you can enjoy local ingredients using home cooking utensils and seasonings. Please note that the heating equipment in this guest house is mainly kerosene stove kerosene fan heater.Electrical appliances are always available, but if you use too much, safety devices will work (smart meters). Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. This is a house with a superb view overlooking Lake Nojiri. There are several ski slopes (Myoko, Kurohime, and Masao), about 15-20 minutes away, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy a wood-burning sauna and a stunning water bath. There are no private houses around, so you can also watch music and movies with loud noise. Because it is a house nestled deep in the mountains, we do our best, but there are insects during the warmer months.It snows a lot in winter.In autumn, the leaves are dancing. You must also adjust the fire in the wood stove yourself. It's never an easy home to live in, but with a great view and experience. There is a full counter kitchen with stunning views and condiments and cookers so you can enjoy cooking.(No BBQ equipment)

Good access to Shimosuwa Station! We renovated an 80-year-old Japanese house into a traditional and clean space. (New open in 2023!) You can spend a comfortable time by renting the entire building. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.

Sanson Terrace "Silk Barn"

Ohinata in Sakuho-town is a small village in a valley. I renovated a 80 years small wooden house by myself taking a long time. The building used to be used for raising silkworms by farms. It was our culture and industry to get silks in this area. You can have a calm time for having Coffee and beer, reading books, listening music... The village is surrounded by nature for hiking to mountains and rivers. Some local families live in around the house, so please stay like the village people.

I renovated this house to comfortable satying. If you will travel with your own car (incl rental car) , to stay this house is one of the good choice. This house is located between Karuizawa and Matsumoto Castle. ---About 60minutes to both places by car. Also close to Shinkansen Station "Sakudaira" and "Ueda" ---About 30minutes to both station by car. Very close to Supermarket, Convenience store, Onsen (japaese hot springs), and local restaruant.
