In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Located at the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake, you can use the entire house studio with its sophisticated design. When you enter the entrance, there is a spiral staircase in front of you. Furniture masterpieces, including Le Corbusier's LC series, are arranged. You can experience an extraordinary experience in a high-class space. Feel free to use the spacious living space, atrium space, rooftop bathroom, wooden deck, and stone oven in the yard. [Accommodation fee] The price is for the entire unit. A model house of a construction company that builds wooden houses in Kiso, Shinshu. It is located at the entrance of the vacation home area of Kiso Komakogen and has an open feeling that blends into nature. An infinite sea of stars. A summer resort at an altitude of about 900 m. Feel the warmth and scent of the wood with Kiso cypress pillars, Kiso cypress flooring, and Kiso larch beams. In winter, it is heated with a firewood stove and solar heat. How about reading in a hammock? There is a construction office and a restaurant run by the construction office on site, and you can also have lunch. 百 HAKU <100-year-old Quaint Japanese Style Villa>

HAKU is a Japanese Style Villa. You can enjoy your private time as in your home. “HAKU“ is one of the readings of the character “百” which means “hundred”. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
