Holiday rentals with lake access in St. John's

Lovely home that fit our big crew! Heads up for future renters, read the instructions for heat pump if not familiar. First night was cold but second night was great!

Where to start!! That view from the patio is incredible, everything in the space was as good as or better than advertised. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful even as we changed our reservation to stay an extra night. Would recommend this space 100% to anyone traveling to the Southern Shore!

We rented this air bnb for a mom’s night away! The hosts were extremely friendly and we felt right at home! Would 100% recommend!!

Wonderful historic home in a beautiful location. Spacious and comfortable with all the amenities. Plenty of linens and towels and the kitchen had everything we needed. Every bedroom had its own bedroom, which was great too. I would definitely stay there again.

Darlene is a great host, clear communication and very responsive. It’s a beautiful property with great view.

this was our second year in a row coming back to Moments Cottage for our work retreat and it did not disappoint! The beautiful outdoors as well as the indoor decor creates such a peaceful atmosphere and the games room, swim spa and the abundance of beds make it the perfect spot for a team building or a multi family place to stay!!

Stay was great, everything exactly how pictured. Very clean, host were accommodating and communicated clearly. Amazing location close to everything. Loved our stay! Would stay here again, highly recommend.

Elaine’s place was just perfect. We were upgraded to ‘the Loon’. My cousin and I enjoyed our visit to the fullest. All the amenities you need plus more, super stocked kitchen cozy and comfortable. All around wonderful stay and… Elaine is the best!!

We had a beautiful and cozy stay at Elaine’s place. The view from the deck of the water is absolutely insane and worth booking this stay itself!!! There was a bit of a misunderstanding re room allocations, due to us booking last minute, and showing up quickly to check in, which resulted in the host entering our room without our knowledge when we wouldn’t weren’t there, which we were not jazzed about obviously. Other than that, Elaine was very responsive and super helpful and lovely (and explained the situation adequately, it did not negatively impact our stay in the end). Overall — very cute place w an amazing view, would recommend!

We stayed here 3 months, and it is the perfect place! Within a 3 minute radius of the house you can drive downtown, to cafes and breweries, to TONS of hikes/walks right on the ocean (we didn’t even get to do them all). The house is in a peaceful neighbourhood right on the lake and right by Quidi Vidi. The space is clean, cozy, and has everything you’ll need. Beckie and her husband were always one step ahead of us, so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay!!! We didn’t want to leave. Beautiful surroundings, super clean, private space. We loved the hot tub and used it every night. What a beautiful place to relax and spent quality time with our family! We will definitely be using this spot as our family get away every summer!

We loved our time at Brenda's Airbnb! It was nice to Holiday like a local for a few days. The lake was great and they have nice chairs to sit in on the dock and relax. We also took the kayaks out for a morning. The boat house is roomy and we had everything we needed. Having a pool table was fun. We couldn't have ask for kinder hosts. They checked in to see we were comfortable and to see if we needed any local tips and then they left us to enjoy their property. ...And we did😊

Our stay at Anne’s was great! We were a group of 6 people spanning 3 generations, ages 3 to 68, and this place met all our needs. Our kids loved the birds and chipmunks. My husband and I loved the access to the water and kayaks. My parents loved the view and hot tub. We were able to have family dinners and bbqs without any trouble. The surrounding nature was beautiful and was only a short drive to St. John’s or other historic towns (like Harbour Grace). Anne was very communicative and checked in proactively to make sure everything was alright. We are already planning our next stay. This remote cottage was perfect for us who were looking tor time to relax and connect, however the access to internet was handy for quick work check ins and a cosy evening watching a movie by the fire. Recommendations for any first time visitors to Newfoundland renting a vehicle - make sure to get one that is good for unpaved roads. Highly recommend this place.

This little gem was very clean. Its in need of a little TLC on the deck boards but very comfortable. its a lovely spot, well stocked with condiments, dishwasher, washer and dryer and its right on the lake. Lots if birds and water fowl. we found everything we needed and more. Tessa sent us an email the day we arrived should we need anything (we did not) We really enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to rebook in the future. thank you Tessa!!

Halo’s Haven is simply a magical place where we found peace, serenity, tranquility, privacy and it was truly a complete stress release. The place itself was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. We loved and had so much fun with all the movies and playing the different board games. For us, one of the key features that set it above others is the fully fenced backyard. Our fur babies were so happy staying there and visibly enjoyed it as much as we did. Owners M & J were very friendly, polite, quick and followed up periodically to ensure everything was going as we expected. Even before leaving, we had already decided that we will be booking again very soon. This is a unique gem that found a niche for families with four legged family members. Absolutely recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It’s a little out of the way (access by gravel road) however it’s private, access to water, with dock, pedal boat, and fishing rods. The house is spacious and has everything you need, including all of the basics for cooking. All bathrooms were stocked with toiletries and more than enough towels. There’s an AC unit on top floor which cools it down appropriately but no AC in the house. Opening the windows did help cool it slightly, there are fans in all bedrooms which helped a lot on the hot days. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend if you’re looking for a getaway and need to accommodate a larger group! Julia and Dion responded within minutes to all of our inquiries- all around great hosts!
