Ice skating in case of cold weather and sledding in case of a lot of snow in the yard. * Access to a wood-fired sauna is available for SEK 300 per session. * Grilling at the log cabin in the adjacent forest is available. * Beach at Lake Mälaren is a few kilometers away. * The center of Strängnäs is about half a mile from the farm. * Guests bring their own bed linen and towels, but these can be rented for SEK 50 per guest. Pre-booked. * Eggs and potatoes are available for purchase on the farm.

Apartment is centrally located in Mariefred's city center, close to Gripsholm Castle and Lake Mälaren's unique opportunity for swimming and boat trips. The train to Stockholm takes 40 minutes. The apartment has its own entrance from the yard. On the entrance level, there is a spacious hall and a large bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and dryer. On the upper floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen, toilet, two bedrooms and balcony overlooking Gripsholm Castle. Rented for at least three nights or more. Villa Gurli was built in 1912 and has undergone an extensive renovation in the last year to regain its former glory. With a private jetty/marina, it is also possible to get here by boat. The accommodation is about 1 hour by car from Stockholm on beautiful Selaön, with proximity to both nature and rich wildlife. About 15 minutes away are both Strängnäs and Mariefred.

Surrounded by forest, fields and a rich wildlife right next to the house. Don't be surprised if you see moose, deer, cranes and many other wild animals from the veranda when you eat breakfast. Here you can also book several different activities such as game safari, clay pigeon shooting, archery and lots of garden games to do on your own.

Minihus i Mariefred

A simple little house where you can sleep and prepare basic meals while enjoying everything that Mariefred has to offer. The house is only 15 sqm, so it’s small but cozy. There is a bed that is 140 cm wide, a small writing desk with a chair, and a small table with two stools. There is a TV with Netflix, Telia Play, and Disney+. There is also a small kitchenette with two hotplates and a portable fan. Parking is available on the street outside or elsewhere nearby.

Welcome to our bohemian cottage at Oppgården! We are very happy that you have chosen to rent our little cottage outside Strängnäs, Swedish idyll is probably the right description. Our first guest used the cottage as a writing retreat for a documentary. The couple who came after wanted to visit the Swedish countryside and hoped to see bears (note: there are no bears here). A third to recover and land in silence. What are your needs?

Welcome to our carefully renovated house from the 1600s! Here you live next to Strängnäs Cathedral and have the city center nearby. Our charming house also has an exciting story to tell. The house has had the privilege of being included in the popular history and building conservation program on TV, SVT "Det sitter i väggarna" in the fall of 2023. Of course, cleaning, bed linens, towels and coffee and tea are included.
