Farmstay holiday rentals in Vancouver Island

This is our second time in this lovely, perfectly located little cabin. We walked to Ruckle Park from the cabin, slept well in the quiet and dark, made good meals and enjoyed the yummy breakfast scones brought over in the morning. We will be back again.

The stay is peaceful and the location convenient to the whole of the north side of Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, and Sol Duc River and Falls). I was even able to stop for a hike at Staircase on the way up the east side. Diane was always responsive and offered her help freely.

We had a great time staying at this location! The place was clean and cozy and instructions provided to find the place were very clear.

Raquel was an amazing host! She is so friendly and very easy to communicate with. I felt like home at her place. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful location, perfect for those who love nature, ocean and lots of hiking. Everything is within a walking distance from the place. I managed without a car and I absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely come back. It was one of the best airbnb experiences for me! I highly recommend to rent this place if you are single, or a couple travelling with your lovely pet companion.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in CarolLynn’s home. The house was cosy and felt very homely. The kids loved the farm animals and the eggs provided were an unexpected delicious bonus! Would definitely like to come here again in the future.

Rosie's Studio exceeded our already high expectations from reading the online reviews. You get unlimited access to feeding the friendly goats; Bella, a super gentle and playful golden retriever who comes and goes as she pleases (and will tease you into playing fetch!); and a stunningly peaceful farm stay with incredible views all the way to Mt Baker. The studio itself was great - clean and with lots of character, including the large circular windows that provide an ideal foreground for photos of the view. We really appreciated the breakfast staples and treats that Trish left, as well as the art supplies. When you're not out exploring Salt Spring, this is a great place to just relax, and my wife used the art supplies to paint the landscape, adding it to the wall of art from prior guests. Location wise, it's about 20 minutes to Ganges by car. We enjoyed it, as it felt far enough away from everything to feel secluded, but everything was still convenient. Perfect stay!

Our group of 6 adults had a comfortable, peaceful getaway. Jenny and Kyle’s place was spotless and comfortable. We met Kyle on arrival and found him helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with the chickens and goats and seeing the cows in the field from the kitchen window! The kitchen was well outfitted and the living room and other common areas were spacious. The metalwork fixtures and finishes in the house are clearly a labour of love. Would absolutely stay again - thank you, Kyle and Jenny!

Beautiful tiny home. Super cozy place on a beautiful piece of land. The place was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. Amanda, Jack and their dog Skippy were welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay and can’t wait to visit again!

I am not sure how it looks better than the photos but truly such a beautiful, peaceful and clean home! 100% recommend and I will definitely be back. Nicest hosts!

was on a work trip with a colleague and Kristen was super accommodating when previous place we had planned to stay at fell through at the last minute. the Hobbits Loft is amazing outside and in, very cozy and loved all the wood decor especially the live edge wooden slab breakfast bar. unfortunately didn't have time to see the Farm animals but will definitely be coming back again soon.

Shannon's place was outstanding - a very cute space and the fresh eggs are such a nice touch. We wish we could have enjoyed the place more but we were out skiing both days. Shannon was very quick and proactive in communicating - a tree fell on a powerline and knocked the power out but she had BC Hydro out in no time and we woke up to full power!

Their place is a great cozy getaway, so secluded and away from noise that it's a reprieve, but still a very short journey into town. The spa was such a treat and the dome was comfortable and well kept. The hosts were very helpful, responsive, and caring.

Lovely unit for the two of us and our dog. Very well equipped, clean, and in a peaceful rural setting but close to town. We were sad we couldn't stay longer, but hope to return next year.

Peaceful homey nook! Ideal stay would be 2 ppl, at least 2 nights (more on this below). 4 people would have definitely been a tight squeeze if not for a quick stop through, and that I do not recommend. This is not by fault of the owners as much as by the terror that is AirBNB fees. We paid $358 for 18 hours in this paradise, which was our mistake in booking, but mostly because with the fees we thought we had booked for 2 nights. But Airbnb has it set so you pay the same $100 cleaning fee whether you stay 1 night or 1 week. The fees cost more than the cost of our stay. The only fault of the stay itself being a late check in (4 pm) and early check out (10 am). Again - this is a a GREAT spot! But if you’re gonna stay 1 night, you might as well stay more to make the fees at least somewhat worth it.

What a wonderful spot! We will return 100%. It was so clear that this cabin was intentionally put together with love and not just thrown together. The linens and furniture were really nice quality. The animals were absolutely lovely. The property was beautifully maintained. The signage and directions were very clear. The hot tub was perfect temperature.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and quiet, great location. Hosts were helpful and provided a few complimentary items which were thoughtful! We would stay again.

What an amazing weekend with five friends! Lazy Bear retreat is cozy and quiet--close enough to Sequim and Port Angeles for adventuring, but peaceful enough that we spent most of our time playing games and watching movies at the house. We watched the weather, the cargo ships, and the deer through the living room window, and we did some cooking in the kitchen. The 70's charm took me back to my childhood but the house had all the modern amenities. We're already planning when we'll come back.

Lovely property, the kids loved exploring the pond and cattails. Tons of nearby nature to explore. Lopez is always lovely, and our stay here was no different. My 5 year old adds, “Our stay here was awesome & amazing! I loved the forest behind the property.”

My partner & I have stayed at quite a few Air B&B's. We thought this one is really good. As soon as we got inside,, it felt airy and spacious . who doesn't like that ! Good bed , important ,especially for our demographic . ( 70's) I'm sure we will be back . Thank you Julie.

Everything about my stay at Linda's was excellent. The house and apartment are in a beautiful location. Linda is accessible and made an extra effort to deal with any problems. Everything in the apartment is in very good condition and her instructions were easy to follow.

We had a great 3-night stay at Bonnie and Dave's place. We enjoyed the peaceful rural setting, the hot tub, and the outdoor fire pit. Bonnie and Dave even let us put up our tent in front of the Airbnb, so that my husband and son could have a bit of a "camping" experience--something our son had wanted to do all summer. The kitchen was well-equipped for making family meals, and we appreciated Bonnie's freshly baked muffins, eggs, and other food she left for us. The location of the Airbnb worked well for a fun day trip to Salt Spring Island via the Crofton ferry, being only a 15-20 minute drive from Crofton, and it was only about a 40-minute drive from the Kinsol Trestle section of the Cowichan Valley Trail, which we enjoyed biking along. Bonnie, Dave, and their dog, Sawyer, were away during our stay, so we didn't get to meet them on this visit, but they were always prompt, helpful, and friendly with all their communications. What a beautiful space! Designed and cared for with love and intent, this was a lovely base for a big day hike at Strathcona Provincial Park. Check-in couldn't have been simpler and everything was spotless when I arrived. A well-stocked kitchen, a beautiful shower, and a west-facing deck with beautiful field, mountain, and star views made this space truly special. I hope to return!
