Our eco-wooden house is located in the small town of Süderhastedt between the Kiel Canal and the North Sea. We ourselves live in Hamburg and have discovered this region away from the tourist hustle and bustle as an oasis of peace and a counterpoint to the big city. In the morning the rooster crows, in the evening the flames crackle in the fireplace and at night a heavenly peace under a clear starry sky. After the unfortunate fire of our cozy thatched cottage, we now have a light-flooded wooden house.

Our Resthof is surrounded by forest, which is why this beautiful area is also called Dithmarscher Switzerland. Dogs are welcome here. The climatic health resort of Albersdorf, with the Stone Age Park AÖZA, is in the immediate vicinity. The North Sea with its beaches and surf school in Speicherkoog Meldorf can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

The old thatched cottage dates back to the 1620s and accordingly has many peculiarities which convey its charm, including a lot of unique furniture, both designer pieces and heirlooms, which creates a charming mix of tradition and modernity.
