Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. It is very quiet and within walking distance you are at Ratzeburger See, Küchensee in the forest, in the city center or at the train station. You will be staying in an energy self-sufficient passive house built in 2015. The energy comes only from the sun in summer. Arrival also by bus from Hamburg Wandsbek directly to Ratzeburg or by the Hamburg Transport Association local transport via Büchen/Mölln with a large-area ticket ABCDE. Alternatively, regional train from Kiel via Lübeck to Ratzeburg. The bus stops 3 minutes' walk from the senior citizens' residence.

The manor is located on the edge of Rupensdorf and is an oasis of tranquility. Three horses, two sheep and chickens are kept on the farm. The apartment was completely renovated in March 2024.
