Cottage holiday rentals in Colorado River

We had a relaxing weekend. The hot tub was a great way to end the evening. We didn't run into any issues at all while staying here, so I never needed to message the host. There were other guests staying at other cottages on the property, but the cottages are spaced out so you don't really see each other.

Here is the deal we all know when looking..... I want to walk in and say I made the right choice.... Period!!!!! At this place you can! I would have loved a working TV in the master bedroom. But that's just me...I don't sleep... It was probably something I couldn't figure out on my own but anyway, pretty cool place!!!!

What a beautiful secluded oasis. It was even better than described. Our dogs played and enjoyed the safe confines of the property and we enjoyed time by the pool and time unplugged as a family. Will come again ASAP

We had a ton of fun at this adorable and perfectly designed cottage. It's perfect for a girl's trip, has everything you need, great location, great amenities, and adorable inside. The hot tub was perfectly warm, we loved the jets. Everything in the cottage is place "just so," showing how thoughtful Lori and Mandy are as hosts. All the furniture and beds were comfy cozy. We had such a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at the nice, peaceful cottage. It was very clean & well taken care of. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds & enjoyed a soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking and walking in the local area. A very thoughtful host, Charles brought over a plate of cookies to welcome us & for our anniversary. Enjoyed meeting & talking with him. Thank you, Cassie & David Wilson

This is our second stay at Braden's place and we loved it just as much as our first. The house is just right for escaping the city and taking advantage of downtime. Bryan is roughly 15-20 minutes away if you want to pop into town for a bite or visit the farmer's market. Braden's house has everything you need for staying in. The outdoor space can't be beat with the private peaceful surroundings, hot tub, fire pit, grill, and outdoor living room. Braden is a wonderful host and super responsive to his guest's needs.

There are 2 houses on this property. I was staying 2 months, and about 10 days into my stay the hot water heater began leaking in the Plum Cottage. A replacement heater had to be ordered. I was offered the chance to move to the other (bigger) Stone House at no additional cost, either until the repair was made, or for the duration of my stay. I chose to remain at the bigger house for the duration. Not only was it an upgrade, but it kept me from having to move all my stuff yet again. That was a very kind offer !! Although this location is in the country and very peaceful, Wimberley is just a short drive for any needed supplies or to visit shops and restaurants. As I'd drive down the road this property is on, folks would wave when passing. I once encountered a deer in the yard as I was heading out. It moved a little farther away, but was still enjoying being on the property a little later when I returned. Nice to be in nature and able to share the same space. A pleasant stay !!

We had an amazing stay at this home! The space was incredibly spacious, clean, and perfect for a family getaway. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The absolute highlight was the bed—it was unbelievably comfortable, easily the best sleep we’ve had in a long time! Everything was well-maintained, and the host was attentive and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing retreat or a place to create special family memories, this home is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay! Very clean and homey feeling from the minute you walk in.

Tavas place was furnished in cottage fashion and well equipped with water and snacks. The bed was comfortable and the cottage was clean. The Location was just far enough out of town to feel like the country but less than 2 miles from Fredericksburg. Definitely recommend!

Cottage is perfect, on a serene piece of property, in a lovely, safe neighborhood. Spacious and comfortable and quiet. It was a wonderful respite. I hope to stay again, next time I’m in Austin.

Peaceful cabin out in the country. Close enough to what you need but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

What a beautiful and fun 🤩 place to retreat to. Great yard for the dogs, gorgeous view, fantastic treehouse deck, super comfy beds, private and peaceful. Great hosts too - very friendly and responsive. Made us feel welcome!

Dolly lane cottage was perfect for extra sleeping places for family Christmas. We were very happy with the furnishings and location. Best part was the back yard/porch. Our pup loved running around, and we loved sitting on the porch during a rainstorm. Knowing the area, I suggest that you come ready to unplug and enjoy the great views and nature since signal and WiFi tends to not be as robust as in large metros. Overall great experience and would do it again!

We had a great stay at Cassie’s home. The place was super clean and had all the amenities for a short or longer stay. We stayed over a week and enjoyed every minute. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and everyone reported sleeping very well. High end linens and very comfortable mattresses. The bathrooms were pristine and perfect for a group. The way the house is laid out, there was ample room to enjoy being together but also if you wanted privacy it was equipped for that too. There are two kitchen areas and both were well stocked and had everything needed to prepare meals. Location was perfect. You’re out away from Waco hustle and bustle, but super close to go and enjoy all the sites. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We hope to be back when visiting Waco again. Perfect place for folks visiting their kids at TSTC or Baylor.

This house was charming and I'd definitely go back if I were looking to visit Fredricksberg again. The lay-out worked very well for us: my husband and I stayed in the room next to our son (his room had 2 twin beds) and we shared the front bathroom with him; my in-laws had the room in the back with their own bathroom. As I was coming with my in-laws (who flew from NY to visit us in Austin), I was really hoping that the house I'd rented for our one night away in the Hill Country would be be great and it truly was. My mother-in-law remarked multiple times on how cute the house was and how well I'd done in finding it! It was indeed walkable to town, but it wasn't the charming walk I'd hoped for. The house is much nicer inside than the neighborhood. But there's nothing at all wrong with the neighborhood or the walk -- it's just not an extension of the delightful Fredricksberg main street, even though it's quite close to it. But again, this will now be my go-to for any time I return!

Jean was a very helpful host was there when I needed her and was such a friendly person to rent from ! It was my first time renting an Airbnb and she has definitely set the bar, I hope to visit her place soon it was a very enjoyable experience.

This was my second stay here and I can say It’s a fantastic place to stay. With the exception of food you’d like to eat, I can’t think of anything else you would need to bring. Rebecca is always extremely responsive, and the home is quiet, clean, and feels like a home away from home! I would definitely book again anytime I’m in the area!

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. Everything looks so much more beautiful in person, the scenery and the surrounding area is so peaceful. We will definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.

Loved it here! This was a great find. It was a nice clean room overlooking the river and was on very pretty grounds alongside other rentable cabins. The Spicewood location right on the Pedernales and along lake travis was wonderful, truly waterside with easy access to the kayaks/canoes/paddleboards which you can rent through Travis quickly and conveniently. After sunset I had plenty of room to set up my telescope and had a great view of the moon and stars over the water. It’s right down the street from Krause and several other hillcountry gems. Great host. I’d totally come back.

This was our second time staying at the Lake Cottage. My husband and I loved it so much the first time around, that we wanted to come back for our 10th Anniversary! Highly recommend!! This place meets our expectations everytime and is so peaceful and relaxing. Great place to unwind and getaway. The views here are beautiful, and Diane is an awesome superhost! She's friendly, and attentive to all the needs for your stay to be perfect. The Coastal/Cottage decor really makes the place stand out. it's cute and makes for a relaxing vibe! Will definitely be future stays! This has easily become a favorite spot of ours😉

This place was absolutely stunning! It was the perfect place for two. Everything was exactly as the listing stated and clean. The livestock on the property was such a nice touch, and the duck that greeted us made our day! The smokies time website had a lot of information on what they offer. All in all this was a great stay and a great host!
