Guest house holiday rentals in Colorado River

Monica was EXTREMELY ez to work/communicate with, we choose her guest house as it was a ez walk to our daughters home. Lots of street parking in a quiet & safe neighborhood w/ ez access to freeway PLUS excellent food, coffee + cocktails within walking distance. We stayed over 30 days and the 1 bedroom (comfy bed) guest home served our needs easily. Nicely appointed open kitchen leads into sitting area, bright space with large windows, French doors & plants made me feel more at home. Appliances all CLEAN, as was the entire unit!!!! Extra sheets & towels, the walk in closet + stackable w/d were a blessing too~ all cleaning supplies, laundry & shower gels lasted for our entire stay~Monica added a full cleaning during our stay which a WONDERFUL bonus!!! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay with Monica again ~

Absolutely loved this house, felt like I was home. Kitchen was stocked with just about everything needed to prepare meals, plenty of towels for use. We loved the pool too. About 25 minutes to San Marcos. We thoroughly enjoyed Rose’s house and would highly recommend it!

We had a great stay! Extra amenities and beverages were available as well. I would recommend Kris’ place anytime!

Vicki's guesthouse was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for my staycation getaway. The bed was super comfortable and the claw foot tub was heavenly.

We can’t say enough about the host Rafael and Anna, they were very accommodating and responsive, we barely knew they were there as we were staying in the guest house. We love the pool and enjoyed that with our granddaughter and we’re able to get around easily with the bikes that we rented. The location was perfect to our daughters house and Gruene and all that that area had to offer. We would highly recommend their guest house as we may also frequent it again in the future.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Brady Carriage House! This cozy and well-equipped property is the perfect blend of comfort and convenience—close to downtown Austin yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and quiet. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and the yard adds an extra touch of charm. Cindy and Stephen went above and beyond to ensure my experience was exceptional. I have sensitivities to fragrances, and they were incredibly accommodating, making sure the space was fresh and clean without any strong scents or artificial fragrances. They were also extremely responsive and helpful throughout my stay. When I had an issue with the thermostat, they went out of their way—driving an hour—to make sure it was fixed promptly. That level of care speaks volumes about their dedication to their guests. Parking was easy and plentiful. If you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located stay in Austin, I highly recommend Brady Carriage House.

Had a lovely stay at Jim's place, was beautiful sitting on the porch with a drink looking at the hills and watching the dears. Everything was as expected and we really enjoyed our time. There was everything we needed and more. The pool looked great, but unfortunately we never had time to use it, would have probably been too cold anyway 😁 Will definitely come back and stay at Jim's when we return.

We come to Blanco once a month and we always stay here. Serenity and Justin are incredible hosts and the space is perfect! It is clean and has everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful visit. It is in a very peaceful neighborhood and the bed is super comfortable. You are within walking distance of downtown Blanco which has a great brewery, lovely restaurants (Redbud Cafe is a favorite of ours - the Reuben and Blanco Burger are amazing!), and a number of quaint shops. You are also a 5 minute drive from Blanco State Park. It goes without saying, there is so much to do and then you can head back to this gem of a space and relax. We highly recommend Serenity's and Justin's place!!

We’re older and getting from where the parking is up and down to the property was a little difficult. Anybody younger without a heart condition would have no problem at all. It would be helpful if the host described the access a bit more thoroughly. The property was sparkling clean and as described. Very serene location with beautiful views.

I loved this place! It’s not close to many things if that’s what you’re going for. For me, it was near several friends I was in town visiting so exactly what I needed. It was very easy to find, quiet, and clean. We had an issue with the deadbolt from the inside and got stuck inside when our DoorDash arrived, but Chris was there within 5 minutes to fix the lock. He was super apologetic as he took the lock apart. He offered to replace it that night but we were fine with him doing a temporary fix and waiting until checkout to replace it. The place felt very safe and secure. It was a basic room but had everything we needed. I didn’t use the outside fire pit but it looked like a cozy spot. I’d highly recommend this one.

Super nice studio with lots of light, comfortable bed, swanky shower, full kitchen, nice couch and television. We really enjoyed our stay. The skylights are great and you can see the sky through them on a clear night. Hot tub was very nice. The hosts were very communicative, everything was perfectly clean, and Fredericksburg is close by but far enough you feel like you're in the country. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect place for my young family to stay while visiting family. Nice and quiet - exactly what we needed to recharge. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Gonzales. Very comfortable and spacious. Great amenities! We hope to stay here again for future trips.

My stay at Julie’s was exactly what I needed during a stressful time with family being in the nearby hospital. The space was clean, quiet, and comfortable, providing a much-needed place to rest and work. Julie was kind and accommodating, making me feel at ease. The location was also incredibly convenient, just a short distance from the hospital, and was very safe to park overnight. I truly appreciated the quick response and the peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone needing a calm, supportive environment.

We were very pleased with this cute little guest house. The ease of checking in and the personal touches throughout the space made us feel right at home. Great location (close to downtown) and very quiet neighborhood. Perfect place to get away from it all. The host (Isaac) was proactive in reaching out which made our stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back!

Brett’s place was immaculate providing all the comforts of home. He was extremely responsive in the days ahead of my visit making my experience one of ease. I appreciated the quick access to town and the ability to park my vehicle directly in view of the hideaway. The string lights and porch motion sensor lighting really added to my level of safety as a solo traveler with the fall darkness coming earlier in the day. The cute decor and games were a nice touch too. I feel blessed to have found Brett’s place for my Abilene stay. I could not have asked for better.

Loved the house. Only a few observations: needs blankets, heater works great but blanket would be useful. Needs trash bags- couldn’t find any. Oh and funny but the palm tree is not there anymore. 🫣 otherwise, beautiful home, beautiful yard, very comfortable and would definitely go back.

This place is stunning, the land is gorgeous and the activities available to do are so fun! We loved feeding the owners animals, especially the kids! They were very communicative to our needs, and responsive. I would recommend this place to any and all family. The board games the owners have for the guests is unreal, and we loved playing them all weekend! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Mark's place was great! Easy to check-in and out and he was very respectful of my privacy as well. Highly recommend anyone to book his place when they can!

We loved our stay. My wife and I were looking for a quiet getaway for the weekend, and we're not disappointed. The cozy guesthouse had everything we needed. It was conveniently located near everything, but still private and quiet enough for a couple's retreat. We highly recommend a stay at Ellen's, they made it special.

A great stay if you want something more affordable but still easy to get to downtown via ubers/lyfts! Host is very responsive and was generous to allow us an early check in. Thank you!
