“Everything about this location exceeded my expectations. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, just minutes away from restaurants and stores, yet feels like you're in your own world. The quiet and peaceful garden are so enchanting. The cottage is beautifully crafted and decorated. The ceilings are painted with little gold stars and the clawfoot tub is the perfect way to unwind before bed. I loved sitting outside in the garden in the mornings drinking my coffee, surrounded by the greenery, plants, ponds with goldfish, frogs and birds chirping. The setting feels like it's right out of a storybook. Donna is a wonderful hostess. She's so sweet and fun to talk to and made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. Her husband Doc is very courteous and friendly and their two dogs are just as sweet as could be. Highly recommend and can't wait to stay again! Thank you for everything, Donna!!”

“Came to town for a one night stay and absolutely loved the cottage! Very cute and well decorated, also a pretty good sized space for a one bed. Space was very private and quite. Definitely would rebook if we are back in Durham!”

“Our stay with Alice and Jeff was superb! They are pros! Their communication is very clear and their place is extremely thoughtfully organized and presented (down to slippers, chocolates and other nice touches!). Their location is walking distance or a very short drive to Duke’s East Campus and to downtown Durham. I expressed a concern for allergies I have to fragrances and they were very accommodating, putting towels and linens through a special wash. I was so appreciative. So appreciative (joking now) that I accidentally broke a coffee mug full of coffee in the bathroom...onto the white bath mat. I felt terrible but was graciously forgiven! I ask that others don’t try that aspect of Alice’s hospitality ...but definitely recommend the overall stay...unless I’m trying to book that date, as I would most certainly want to go back!”
