The village of Murnau with lots of shops and cafes can be reached in 15 minutes. by car. In winter, with good snow conditions, the groomed cross-country ski trail is within walking distance. The Zugspitz railway in Grainau can be reached in 30 minutes by car.

Larger shopping facilities can be found in Weilheim, Peißenberg or Murnau. In addition, a natural swimming pond with a small Kneipp facility is about 1 km away and allows spontaneous refreshment at any time of the day
