This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. Quiet Rural Retreat in a traditional Japanese house. We renovated a 80 years small wooden house by ourselves taking a long time. The building used to be used for raising silkworms by farms. It was our culture and industry to get silks in this area. You can have a calm time for having Coffee and beer, reading books, listening music... The village is surrounded by nature for hiking to mountains and rivers. Some local families live in around the house, so please stay like the village people.

Regarding to accommodation fee; We charge 4,000 ¥ a night per adult from 2023. Example if you stay with your 2 friends, You pay 4,000 ¥x 3=12,000¥. and free of charge for infant under 2 years old. ( We apply 3,000 yen for one adult who already booked ) Due to increase of costs additional charge: for breakfast is 500¥ per person and 1,500¥ for dinner per @erson. This meal charge is accepted only cash payment. Room is open space and two beds in 1st floor and 6 in 2nd floor.

BBQ is now available in the garden. We have a Coleman roadtop grill (with 2 LP gas fuels installed). Additional LP gas fuel is sold at the management office for 1,500 yen (tax included) per bottle. 40 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station. It is a resort property located in Princeland villa, which is popular as a summer resort surrounded by beautiful nature and Mt. Asama at an altitude of 1,100 meters. I installed a living air conditioner. I installed a clothes dryer.

Yorokobi Chalet Hirafu 2Bdrm 2Bthrm

This fabulous 2Bdrm, 2Bthrm chalet has 4 x single beds. The second floor with lots of sun light has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. In the living room there is a sofa bed that could accommodate an additional two guests. This part of Hirafu is especially family friendly and is located within 1.8kms of Hirafu intersection and local convenience stores. However, we still recommend guests rent a car for this location. There is car parking for 1 x car.

Pet friendly *Private Villa* Minano-no-Sato Pleasure Village

This is a pet-friendly log house that is rented as a whole house. It is located in the middle of the mountains, in a scenic location with a view of the morning sun and the sea. There is a 40,000 m² site, and outdoor campfires are also OK. The building was self-renovated using antique materials and plaster. There is a kids room with lots of wooden toys and a large hammock, and there is a hearth where you can BBQ indoors, so you can enjoy yakiniku indoors.
