Next door is the open-air cafe Womote, which is only open in the garden on weekends, where you can enjoy Swedish cuisine and soba noodles made with organic ingredients grown by the shop. Also, how about a BBQ with local vegetables from the nearby farmers' market? There are also many mountain restaurants within 20 minutes by car. You can also climb Mt. Iizuna, and if you go a little further, you can climb Mt. Togakushi and Mt. Kurohime. Oza Hossi Pond, where you can have a forest adventure, Nojiri Lake, where you can do water activities, and Zenkoji Temple are all within 20 minutes by car. In winter, you can go to the ski slopes right in front of you. All five ski resorts in northern Shinshu can be accessed within 30 minutes. Nozawa Cottage has a pretty unique layout. The building is shaped like a triangle, and we fully renovated recently with a contemporary feel.
