Our log house, newly built in autumn 2025, is conveniently located for getting around.Approximately 150 metres (a 2–3-minute walk) to the south entrance of Madarao Kogen Ski Resort. Also within walking distance of the central area, where there are public bus stops, car parks, and numerous restaurants. The facility is fully equipped with a kitchen, bath, washing machine, etc., making it suitable for long-term stays.There is also a large hotel right next door, where you can use the public baths (hot spring, charge applicable) or rent ski equipment.There are several other hot spring facilities nearby.It is perfect for families to rent, and it is great for friends and couples, so all guests can enjoy it. The entire interior is filled with the fresh scent of new wood, creating a warm, natural wood atmosphere.Furthermore, the design of the overhead atrium creates an elegant atmosphere in the space.If you look around, you will see that the property is surrounded by woodland, and you will realise that this is a detached house nestled in the forest.There are trees growing on the veranda and some slightly unusual features in the layout, but this is because we wanted to preserve as much of the forest as possible and allow the trees and the house to coexist. Panoramic Mountain House

Relax at home, stroll on foot, drive a car and have a little more adventure… it's the perfect location for any vacation. There are many activities within walking distance. Walk the Nordic walking course that starts from the front of the house to the grassy park on the shore of Lake Reisenji with a view of the majestic mountains and the hot spring with an open-air bath. There are also camp + iizuna, a water bamboo garden, and a herb garden where you can participate in various activities. Next door is the open-air cafe Womote, which is only open in the garden on weekends, where you can enjoy Swedish cuisine and soba noodles made with organic ingredients grown by the shop. Also, how about a BBQ with local vegetables from the nearby farmers' market? There are also many mountain restaurants within 20 minutes by car. You can also climb Mt. Iizuna, and if you go a little further, you can climb Mt. Togakushi and Mt. Kurohime. Oza Hossi Pond, where you can have a forest adventure, Nojiri Lake, where you can do water activities, and Zenkoji Temple are all within 20 minutes by car. In winter, you can go to the ski slopes right in front of you. All five ski resorts in northern Shinshu can be accessed within 30 minutes. Mimo's Cottage is a renovated pottery studio cottage. It is located in a place where you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Shinano-cho, Nagano Prefecture, which is rich in nature, and there are many magnificent mountains nearby, so you can enjoy various activities such as skiing, trekking, and water sports at Lake Nojiri throughout the year. The cottage has an atrium tatami mat living room for families and friends to gather. The three bedrooms are clean and warm, and all rooms are relaxing. There is a Japanese-style room on the ground floor and a total of 3 bedrooms, 2 large and 1 small, on the second floor. During the snow season, it is in a great location just a 5-minute walk to the 6th lift of the Tangram Ski Circus, with excellent access to the ski slopes. Famous ski resorts such as Myoko area ski resorts, Nozawa Onsen, and Roketa Alpine Resort are also 30-40 minutes away by car. It is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy winter activities. In the green season, you can enjoy water activities such as kayaking, SUP, and fishing at Lake Nojiri, which is a 5-minute drive away. Enjoy the great outdoors of Shinano-cho.

A house only surrounded by rice paddies and nature

　Outside the window, there is nothing for more than 10 kilometers. The rice fields are spread out, and one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains, Mt. Makikomi (1,967 m), is located directly in front. If the timing is right, the full moon will rise from there. 　You can relax while feeling the wind crossing the rice fields in the midst of the magnificent view. 　In early spring, the rice fields with water become like mirrors, green in summer, and golden in autumn. In the second half of October, the top of Mt. Makikomi is covered with snow, and the middle slopes are colored with autumn leaves. And in winter, it is covered with about 2 meters of snow. 　In the rice fields behind the house, we make rice by hand without pesticides, and you can also participate during your stay. 　WiFi is available. There is also a space for you to work. 　You can also cook for yourself. There are bars, restaurants, and convenience stores within a 20-minute walk (within 1,600 m). Nozawa Cottage has a pretty unique layout. The building is shaped like a triangle, and we fully renovated recently with a contemporary feel.
