Little House in the Jungle

Cabana sits on the edge of a canyon with black squirrels, coatimundi, agouti and heaps of birds. It's quite peaceful, classically rustic and fairly private. Has a porch, one bathroom, electric hot water tank, yard and parking for one car. Includes WiFi and shared washer/dryer. No smoking in the Casita, small pets will be considered upon inquiry. 25 minute walk to town, taxis are $3. If you come from/go to main road at stairs it should be $1. The property consists of a total of three houses, and Deimos is located at the highest point, slightly farther from the others, offering added privacy. The tiny home comes fully equipped with everything needed for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the amenities of Altos del María.

If you're lucky, you may wake up to see white-faced capuchins from your bedroom window and spot an abundance of birds, such as the crested oropendola or a toucan. The property offers river access with a sandy, beach-like area, and there is a 1 km walking trail alongside the river. With satellite high-speed internet access, you'll stay connected, though the river and sandy area may not be accessible during rainy days.
