Guest house holiday rentals in Southern Indiana

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Paulo's carriage house! It is even more beautiful in person than in the photos, with many thoughtful extra touches to make it both lovely and comfortable. While we didn't cook, the kitchen was very well-equipped, and the living room area couches were sooo comfortable. While it was a little too chilly to sit outside, the patio/balcony furniture were inviting and overlook a beautiful and peaceful courtyard. Paulo was a very responsive host who communicated clearly and made himself available for any needs we might have but also gave us our space/privacy. The location is also a big plus--the neighborhood is full of gorgeous historic homes and just a block away from the main road (Bardstown), which has plenty of dining options, coffee shops, etc. all within easy walking distance. We look forward to returning and staying again!

Suzann was a great host!! We stayed in the coach home of her bed and breakfast which was perfect for our family of 3. There was a playset with swing, slide, sandbox and pirate ship on top that our son enjoyed. This location was close to all that we did...we stopped at Ark Encounter (we are from Ohio) and had about a 65 min drive to Suzann's place. We went to Kentucky Horse Park which was only 40 minutes away and Shaker Village was only 16 minutes away!! And not to forget about Buc-ee's which is 52 minutes from Suzann :-) Great location, clean and comfortable!!!!!

Our stay was amazing! The treetop hideaway was just that. It was so close to everything downtown. The only downside to us was the mattress was a little firmer than we like, but we would definitely book it again!

Traveling solo this trip…. Nothing to fear! Tim was a great host! Always felt safe and at ‘ home’. Guesthouse was clean, quiet neighborhood, and responsive host. Would definitely return

We arrived at night so had a hard time finding the driveway despite perfect directions. The entry and check in instructions were clear. It was early March with still a bit of chill in the air but the space was warm and cozy on arrival. The area was safe and walkable in the day and at night, in spite of our unfamiliarity with Indianapolis! We attended events at Gainbridge Fieldhouse - such an easy walk! - and explored the downtown, Mass Ave, Fletcher Place, and Upper Canal neighborhoods. While we didn’t spend a lot of time in the space, we did use the kitchen for all our breakfasts and even dinner twice. The kitchen area is small but provided everything we needed! This space is great for one or two people traveling for any sporting event downtown. Highly recommend! We also asked Josie and Rob for one area recommendation and they responded quickly and were more than helpful.

We have stayed with Matt and Mandy multiple times now and everytime has been an absolute joy!

Had a wonderful snow filled relaxation getaway at this adorable cottage. This cottage itself was absolutely perfect! It was cozy, warm, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The peaceful surroundings made it the ideal getaway. The hosts were wonderful and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat! Also this place has the most comfortable reading chair-don’t forget to bring a book! Would stay again!

I was so happy with the stay. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. The area is beautiful and the structure really nails the cottage vibes. Leslie is very accommodating and even let us know when we arrived that we could stay past check out. Will stay here again if we are ever in town for a game.

The host is the best experience we’ve ever had with communication! The cottage was extremely clean, nothing over looked. It felt like home! Extremely peaceful! If you are looking to visit Madison but don’t want to stay in town with all the noise, look no further than the Amish cottage! We will 1,000% be back to stay at the cottage!

I had a great stay at the hillside hideaway. The cabin is small but cozy and had everything we needed. 10 beds and the best couch ever. I would recommend. Gloria was a great host that reached out to make sure we had everything we needed and found the place alright. Full kitchen to make meals was awsome. My only issue was that the shower water had a tough smell of sulfur, which was unpleasant.

We met Cathy and her husband when arriving & appreciated their hospitality! We walked around the grounds enjoying all the beautiful gardens just springing to life around the pond. We felt right at home and enjoyed a Reunion with John’s daughter from Oregon. There was literally everything we needed in the kitchen to make a surf n turf dinner. It had all the comforts of home with expert decor. The large Main Bathroom shower was uniquely designed & a peaceful place. We even had sunny weather to enjoy the patio! Perhaps, we will revisit this lovely Cincinnati home again. They have awesome properties in Cape Coral, Florida too!

We appreciated the bag of snacks and the Keurig cups for the morning! Jessica told us about her parents and the pets & the pet cat, Spot in the garage. Everything was just perfect, and we felt relaxed and refreshed after staying here and maybe we’ll return one day… The only thing that we would suggest is more safety tape on the ramp because there was lots of rain the days we were there. Maybe next time we’ll have more time on the dock and sitting on the porch!

The place was nice and clean. Was close to downtown, had everything needed. The owner "Jonathan" was communicative by responding fast and understanding. It had an easy check-in and check-out. It was also felt very private and safe. I would definitely go again if needed.

I had a great time at Bryan‘s. Very accommodating host with a convenient location in a pretty neighborhood. The apartment had everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect for a one night stay! Wanted to be close to the children’s museum so the location was great. Jennifer was even able to get us in a little early to accommodate our son’s nap time. Thanks for a great stay!

Had a great time. Location is great and peaceful! Plenty of room for all 11 of us. And only 25-30mins drive to many of the distilleries.

We have traveled all over the country and stayed at many different places. The carriage house is now one of our favorites. As soon as you walk in you can tell Kevin and Michael put their hearts into this place! Everything was on point, from the craftsmanship to the decor. I dare you to say you've slept in a more comfortable bed! We didn't want to leave!!!!

Loree was an incredible host! The home was very comfortable and homey. It was equipped with everything we needed to make us feel at home.

Although we did not spend much time in the cottage when we were there we felt at home. The bed and pillows are exceptionally comfortable if we are ever in Louisville again I will definitely book here again. The cottage was clean and easy to find, close enough to shopping and restaurants but off the beaten path

2nd time staying here when visiting downtown. it checks the boxes off. only issue is delivery since its located in an ally between 2 streets or uber findinf us. however, we like it enough to book a 2nd time and will again in the future.

Kelly & Dana’s place was perfect for visiting our daughter. The carriage house studio was bright, cheerful, and impeccably clean. We felt like the first guests to stay there. We enjoyed Amelia’s coffee shop and the Sidedoor Bagel shop, both within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

Great place in a location that was close to lots of restaurants and activities!
