The entrance to the first stage of the Eifelsteig hiking trail is also in Kornelimünster.

By car, you can reach Aachen in 15 - 20 minutes (depending on the destination in Aachen). By bus you can reach Aachen in about 30 minutes. The bus stop is within walking distance.
