In the middle of the forest, on a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful town of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and goodness, this is the place. The old half-timbered building, a former stable, was renovated with high quality and sustainably with natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna promises absolute relaxation!

Welcome to our cottage on the Elbe dyke! Our house and the detached guest house were built in 2021. The guest house is very cozy and stylish with many details, such as furniture, windows, etc., which have been designed and built in individual production and with a lot of love for detail. If you are looking for peace and relaxation in a stylishly furnished ambience, this is the place to be. The Elbe Cycle Path and Elbe Dike are about 200 meters from us.

Bright tiny house with nature view

On the edge of a small farm complex, surrounded by horses, chickens and a pair of storks, is our functional tiny house. The large sun terrace with awning, the adjacent pond and the open view of nature invite you to relax. The interior includes: a cozy sitting area with sofa, table and chairs, a wood-burning stove, a small kitchenette, a sleeping berth (1.60 wide) and a small shower room. Outside is a toilet house with a Finnish compost toilet.

Quiet guest house in the countryside – 45 min from Hamburg/Lübeck

The detached guest house is quietly located in a cul-de-sac – ideal for couples with pets or smaller families with children and dogs. With a modern kitchen, spacious living area, balcony and parking right outside the front door, it is the perfect retreat. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with two freshly made beds in the same room – so the accommodation is not designed for groups or four adults. A third bed can be provided if needed.

The apartment is located in a 100-year-old barn of an idyllic village of 26 inhabitants surrounded by (almost) unspoiled nature on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath. It's an area without superlatives. Everything is very normal without major attractions. But this is exactly what we really appreciate about this area. Lots of nature, wide views and little distraction. It is a place where you can come to rest and draw strength.

Wooden house in the countryside

The wooden house is in a very quiet location, the neighbors are very quiet and hardly noticeable. The surrounding meadows and forests make it a relaxing place. Lüneburg is about half an hour away. The Elbe can be reached in 10 minutes by car. The nearest shops are 10-15 minutes away. The house invites you to relax. The cozy bed is suitable for 2 people. There is also a sofa bed in the fireplace room which can be used.

Spacious tiny house

Our tiny house is the perfect base for cyclists, hikers, short-stay vacationers or ornithologists. Lake Sumter is only a few minutes' walk away. The Elbe is 4 km away. The light-flooded tiny house has 2 sleeping places with TV in the "upper deck." 2 more people can stay on a pull-out couch. There is a well-equipped kitchen and under the walnut tree you can linger and relax on a 20 sqm terrace with a grill.

Here you can book a 10 m² tiny house with a small kitchen and integrated bathroom. For cold evenings, there is a fireplace in addition to the underfloor heating. The accommodation is hidden between apple, pear, plum and walnut trees in our garden. The tiny house is biologically insulated with wood wool, clad from the inside with profiled wood and from the outside with larch wood from the region.

The Quartier Schaaleland is an individual and with a lot of love for detail, furnished apartment in a historically lovingly renovated farmhouse. Centrally located between the biosphere reserve Schaalsee and river landscape Elbe in the southern west of Mecklenburg, it offers families with children, as well as cycling tourists a stylish stay in loving surroundings of species-rich nature.

Ratzeburg am Biotop

Ihr wohnt in einen energieautarken Passivhaus Baujahr 2015. Die Energie kommt im Sommer nur von der Sonne. Anreise auch mit dem Bus von Hamburg Wandsbek direkt nach Ratzeburg oder mit dem Hamburger Verkehrsverbund Nahverkehr über Büchen/Mölln mit Großraumticket ABCDE. Alternativ Regional-Bahn aus Kiel über Lübeck nach Ratzeburg. Der Bus hält 3 Min. zu Fuß am Seniorenwohnsitz.

It's in the cold season that a tiny house really becomes cosy. Warm up by the fireplace after an excursion into nature and enjoy a wonderful breakfast in the morning.

Here you can actively explore nature on forest walks and bike tours, swimming in the nearby lake, or relaxing in the hammock in the large fruit tree garden, by the crackling campfire under the stars. If it gets cold and uncomfortable, a sauna house is also available on request.
