The Root Beer Adobe Hotel

A striking 1890's adobe dwelling located in the renowned historic Barrio Viejo district. The Root Beer Adobe Hotel is an old-world experience nestled within a collection of folk art; primitive antique interiors complimented with high ceilings, concrete, brick, and saltillo floors, all bathed in natural desert light throughout. Located at the western edge of Marfa, this cozy, unique adobe offers a true Marfa experience, and the best isolation and comfort for you. The house is air conditioned and heated, has wifi and a smart TV. There is one bedroom downstairs with a comfy queen sized bed and one loft bedroom upstairs with a queen sized bed and fun views. This is a lovingly curated space for passionate travelers, lovers of design, desert sun chasers, star gazers, and folks looking for the relaxation of a slow West Texas pace. This 1920s traditional structure has been refurbished, yet still maintains its earthen quality that is familiar to Marfa. Small/Medium dogs ok (max 40 lbs).

Na Bolom @ La Loma del Chivo (The Goat Hill)

This structure was designed and built partially by the same artisan who did a good bit of the foundational work on Eve's Garden, one of the best examples of 'papercrete' building world wide and located in north Marathon. This building, named 'Na Balom' or 'Jaguar House' in Mayan was constructed in the manner of the ubitious conical structures in Southern Italy, all through desert communities in the Middle East, Africa and is comfortable for two.
