Tent holiday rentals in La Joya

Outstanding glamping! We loved our stay and will miss our evenings at the fire pit under the stars from the Lone Star State. Near to the Big Bend Nationalpark. Thanks for hosting us. We hope to be back one of these days.

The place is a showcase of the city just as we needed it, very quiet and peaceful, to enjoy a starry night. We stayed 3 nights and each one gave us a different experience, one of storm and rain, but just when we had already enjoyed the campfire, the next day was already clear, in the company of other tenants but very respectful. Although it is a shared place, each area feels private. We took a long bike ride in the morning, played corn hole until we got tired. Sayra was very kind through messages, her father, Jorge, welcomed us, was very attentive and made us feel super welcome, excellent host, he made his wife, attentive to make sure we had everything. They have a kitchenette with hamburgers and pizzas for sale in the afternoon. We took advantage of the third day and while we waited for some complimentary craft beers to watch the sunset in that beautiful view. Excellent experience, we'll be back and thank you.

Bryan Anne’s place was exactly as described and picture. Quiet, beautiful, and peaceful place to stay. Perfect place to stay for a night or two. Bryan Anne was sweet and friendly to speak with. Great communication for finding the place and expectations. Would recommend for anyone wanting to camp!

Muriel’s place was wonderful. Very quiet, a nice place to come and just be. The tent was great. My guy was worried it would be too cold at night, but the bedding provided on the bed itself was very warm and comfy. The club house was great. Microwave, toaster oven, fridge, coffee maker, items inside if you wanted to bring and make your own meals. Grill outside. Showers inside. We only used the fire pit. The porta potty was very clean. The animals on-site were very friendly. Just a nice quick get away. Would definitely stay again. Only regret was that we didn’t try their Scottish Pies….

This was the perfect vacation getaway. Conveniently located near Terlingua and Big Bend, but still remote so we could enjoy peace and quiet. The space had everything we needed, including comfortable beds, cooking/eating utensils, grill, and more. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Mel is a fantastic host. Desert weather put a little wrench in our plans, but Mel was flexible and super helpful. We wound up spending an evening in the tent at Site 7 and had an incredible experience. The tent was sturdy and the cots were comfortable. We used the Adirondack chairs and the fire pit to make s’more’s. We lucked out with a clear, star studded sky. It felt so special and unique to be out in the desert taking it all in. So cool! Proximity to BBNP and food/groceries is perfect. We got in later than expected and had a little trouble finding the site in the dark. It wasn’t for lack of VERY CLEAR instructions, more human failure and unfamiliarity with the place. Mel recommended getting settled before sunset and so do I ;) Thank you Mel for a truly unique and amazing experience! We loved it <3

We were two couples travelling with a 1 yo and a 2 yo. Group consensus is that this was a great AirBnB experience. The sleeping tents were both set up well with comfortable mattresses, rugs, and nice wooden furnishings. The tents were clean and stayed relatively cool in the desert heat (while also being outfitted with propane heaters). The kitchen tent was also very clean and everything we needed was provided to cook and to bbq on the charcoal grill. The outdoor seating areas were beautiful and comfortable. As far as outhouses go, this was a really nice one. We also made use of the shared shower area; it was very well built. Overall we felt like the hosts really put a lot of thought into what would make a comfortable stay for guests. Touches like Big Bend hiking guides, daily cleaning, and very prompt responses really made this a 5 star stay. We will be recommending this property and hope to return ourselves.

Perfect! Sue and joe were amazing hosts and very nice. Bar nearby was loud at night but we were so tired from being outside all day we passed right out no problem.
