WHY KING'S CROSS ? King's Cross St Pancras Underground station links six London Underground lines – Circle, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Northern, Metropolitan and Victoria. This makes it the biggest interchange on the London Underground, and one of the busiest. With direct access to all airports : Heathrow. Stansted. Luton. Gatwick. As well as the Eurostar going to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. Just seat back and relax. You don't need to change trains/buses with all your luggages.
WHY THIS HOUSE ? Because you want to be in central london and have easy access to everything without the inconveniences of having all the busy noises from people shouting outside, Cars, traffics, Ambulances ( you know what I'm talking about if you have been to New York ;-). You need a good and quiet sleep during the night And easy access to shops. Lucky you : The house is located in a very very quiet Street. The bus 390 next to the house will bring you to your favourites places like Oxford circus and more in few minutes or you can even walk. For stansted airport take the bus national Express For HEATHROW take the piccadilly line For all others airports take the train from king's cross saint pancras Eurostar is next door. The caledonian road is full of nice restaurants. How fast fortunes change in London; commercial centres spring up out of farms and fields, warehouses are abandoned, transformed into workshops then chic restaurants, and even royal castles fall into decline, crumbling slowly into the Thames. It’s a constant wheel of change and activity, and nowhere is this more obviously than the new and improved Kings Cross, which has risen from the sooty dust of derelict warehouses and criminal dealings to become a chic, desirable modern hub, complete with convenient national and international transport connections. Situated north of Fitzrovia and south of Camden, Kings Cross is just on the edge of North London, but still benefits from being short distance into the centre as well as an easy stroll to the glorious expanse of Regent’s Park. The transformation that began in the 1980s is still not quite fully complete, with predictions estimating an end by 2020, and in this time the whole area has become unrecognisable. Former warehouses and storage buildings have become restaurants along the canal, glass-fronted apartments and offices have risen up from scrub land by the railway tracks, and the whole area is positively buzzing with activity, from local office workers visiting weekly street food markets, to students mooching around on the Central St Martins campus. Please treat the home as you would your own Please respect the neighbours, and so not make significant noise or play loud music after 10pm No parties
  • Beautiful room, excellently located. Everything clean and in order.

  • We had a great time! Marianne always replied very quickly, is very reliable and cares. The accommodation is as described, clean and tidy. The area is quiet and easy to reach from the train station. We recommend.

  • Very good

    Natividad2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marianne's place was very convenient for our trip to Camden and Kings Cross area. Very close to Kings Cross station and in a nice quiet area with lots of amenities, bars and restaurants - very close to the canal too! Everything was as described and very clean - hotel quality bed! And the bathroom was spotlessly clean. This is always hard to find when you are sharing facilities. Only slight downside was the bathroom next door seemed to be the most popular in the building and was used by everyone, so unfortunately I was woken up in the early hours by the doors and shower sound. However, I am a very light sleeper and would definitely return with a set of ear plugs. We also really enjoyed the cute touches like the peanuts in the kitchen for squirrels, the addition of towels, hair dryer and make-up mirror in the room and how communicative and quick to respond Marianne has been. Would most definitely stay again!

Please note, the room does not come with access to a kitchen, although we do provide a mini-fridge and a welcome tray with a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sweeteners and cream. Kings Cross is in central London (Zone 1) and a short walk away from London’s most iconic sites and places to visit. For those that need to go further afield, there is an excellent range of public transport options, including an underground and overground station as well as a range of bus stops for various routes virtually on your doorstep.
  • Justin has been an exceptional host. The property is situated in a fantastic and central location close to many shops and the Kings Cross station. All communication was easy and straightforward.

    Mueed2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great room, comfy bed, easy to check in. Very communicative! Loved our stay.

    Chelsea2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Spotless house, super precise host and extremely available for any problem. We decided to take a room for our stay in London and chose Justin's. The location is central (5 minutes walk from King's Cross), although the house is on the 5th floor, it has an elevator, the room cleanliness is impeccable and when we had a problem, Justin solved everything within a few hours. Perhaps the only flaw (which the host reports in the description) is that there is no kitchen in the house, otherwise perfect service and as described. I recommend everyone to stay here.

    Gianluca2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish room, very close to station if you come by Eurostar or Thalys. Nice local pub around the corner and when it's time to go, you can leave your lugage at the British Library (for free) . Spotless room and shared bathroom. Hair dryer and kettle were nice surprise.

    Veronique2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place

    Ji Su2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Everything in this apartment was just like in the pictures. It’s really clean (we met the nice cleaning lady 3 times in 5 days ... I assume the place is fully cleaned daily) and everything is modern and functional. Justin is a perfect host who always answered his phone right away ... this way communication was really easy. Location was awesome as well ... there is a pub and a small store basically across the road and Kings Cross is just a 2 min walk away. We will book his place again when we visit London !

    Fabian2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was really better than I thought. The room was clean, the shared bathroom was a bit small, but there was no problem to use it, and it was comfortable because there was one more toilet. 6-7 minutes walk from King Cross Station. And when I tried to use the kettle, it was so dirty that I couldn't use it. Then I asked the host if I could change it. I'm so sorry. Per

  • Great stay at Sam's, I will come back

    Serge2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sam’s room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The building is very close to Kings Cross which makes transport from and to it ideal. I had a huge delay in my flight and arrived after 02:00 AM, and Sam was very understanding and responsive with my late arrived. Helped me out great. Would recommend to stay here!

    Yelmo2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Like the description says! Not very big but so is pretty much every apartment in London, host is very fast to respond, and location is great!

    Fabian2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really well located for people coming out St Pancreas station. Not too far from the center of the city. Recommended for people that spend most of the day outside. Sam can help if you come earlier than the check-in or need to leave your bags in the appartment after the check-out.

This double bedroom has wall to wall carpet on floors throughout, tastefully decorated and a shared bathroom. There is not a self catering option and no kitchen facilities apart from a mini fridge, kettle. Gray's Inn Road is located just 8 minutes away from King's Cross St Pancras Station with convenient access to St Pancras International. Please be advised there is a security camera in front of the building recording 24/7
Relatively cheap rents and a central London location make King's Cross attractive to artists and designers, attractions and cultural establishments: a major arts centre, Kings Place, next to the Regent's Canal hosts numerous art, music, live comedy and cultural events throughout the year both Antony Gormley and Thomas Heatherwick have studios in the area The London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment are both based here, alongside the Pangolin Sculpture Gallery; Central St Martins College of Art and Design has taken up residence in the Granary Building, which looks out over Granary Square, a new public space decorated with more than 1,000 coloured fountains the cutting-edge Gagosian Gallery moved its main London premises to King's Cross in 2004. Kings Cross has a heritage of nurturing arts and culture. The British Library is located next to St Pancras Station, displaying some of the world's most famous written and printed items, such as the Magna Carta (1215) and Shakespeare's First Folio. The London Canal Museum commemorates the importance of London's canals. The fascinating Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, London's first home for abandoned babies. The area also features a number of theatres, including the Shaw Theatre and the Bloomsbury Theatre. The Camley Street Natural Park is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of King's Cross: spot wildlife, relax by the pond and learn more at the park's visitor centre. The peaceful St Pancras Old Church is also worth a visit: look out for the Grade I listed mausoleum of Sir John Soane, which inspired the design of London's red telephone boxes. Eat, drink and party in King's Cross King's Cross is full of lively bars, some of which are relatively new to the area, such as, the Spanish Camino, Drink Shop Do and VOC. If you're feeling peckish, there is a great selection of restaurants, including the Caravan cafe, Golden Arrow at Pullman London St Pancras or Bruno Loubet’s Grain Store. Pubs in the area include The Lighterman, The Fellow, and The Driver. For a quick snack at lunch, the Sourced Market in St Pancras International station offers a diverse range of gourmet foods. Alternatively, the exquisite St Pancras Renaissance Hotel – which was originally built by Sir George Gilbert Scott, and saved from demolition by Sir John Betjeman, despite his comment that it was "too beautiful and too romantic to survive" – is the perfect place to treat that special someone: take them for drinks in the Booking Office bar, or for a meal at The Gilbert Scott. You'll also find an all-day restaurant, Plum + Spilt Milk, in the historic Great Northern Hotel, London's first railway hotel. King's Cross is a great place to party! The Scala and the Big Chill House are both in close proximity. Venture a bit further north for Egg, a three-floor club venue with a great outdoor area for lounging. King's Cross is just a short walk from Euston Station – find out more about hotels and attractions near Euston. The King's Cross Partnership was established to fund regeneration projects and the first stage is now open to the public. You can find out more about the current redevelopment at the King's Cross Visitor Centre.

  • Hugh and his team are clearly why airbnb has superhosts. His responses were super fast, and we were able to book the airbnb in the morning of our stay. He also let us check-in early, which was an absolute life saver. The apartment itself is well sized, and quite close to the Angel tube/station. It has all the comforts you'd want in an airbnb/apartment, including washer/dryer/clothes line, sound system, plenty of living room space.

Every piece of furniture and item in the room is brand new, including the comfortable mattress, cushions, duvets, bed throw and carpet. Guests share a bathroom (with a shower and WC) and a separate WC, which are cleaned daily. Rooms and linen are professionally cleaned prior to check-in. Your room is located in an apartment, accessed via a lift, so there is no noise from the street below. Windows are fitted with both net curtains and blackout blinds for a good night’s sleep. Your room is accessed via two pin-locked doors. Upon booking, you will automatically receive a unique pin code for the apartment door, which expires on check-out. Your room also has a separate pin-locked door. There are shops and restaurants at walking distance. This is an ideal location for those visiting central London on business or pleasure, especially for those who wish to be nearby the main sites and attractions that London has to offer. Please note, the room does not come with access to a kitchen, although we do provide a mini-fridge and a welcome tray with a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sweeteners and cream. There is scaffolding outside the building as the exterior of the apartment is being re-painted. If this room is booked please check one of our other rooms on site.
This room is in the heart of Kings Cross. It is 0.3 miles to Kings Cross St. Pancras Underground (and London St. Pancras International for Eurostar), which is an approximately 4 min walk from your room. Kings Cross is in central London (Zone 1) and a short walk away from London’s most iconic sites and places to visit. For those that need to go further afield, there is an excellent range of public transport options, including an underground and overground station as well as a range of bus stops for various routes virtually on your doorstep.

    Eleonora2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a stunning flat, amazing location and Hugh is a great host. All our needs were pre-empted and we had everything we could ask want. Just a couple of things to be aware of - it's up 2 flights of stairs so it's not ideal if you have mobility issues and there is only one bathroom so if you're going with a large group, that might be something to take into consideration. Otherwise, a great stay in a fantastic flat.

    Priyanka2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hugh was extremely accommodating and a great host. The space is absolutely beautiful, I don’t even think you can appreciate it until you explore in person. Great for the group of 10 of us that came and had plenty of space.

Great equipped kitchen (microwave, toaster, oven, cutlery, pans, crockery, small table to eat at). Good shower. Reasonable sized towel (some accomodations only give tiny towels), plus handwash in every bathroom. Kettle in room. At least 3 double plug sockets! Two opposite the beds, one next to the small bed. This inviting home offers a spacious living/dining area. If you are looking for a longer stay (2 weeks+), please get in touch before booking.
Shoreditch High Street is within 10 mins walk, easy access to the Brick Lane Market, and Columbia Flower market. 5 mins walk to Canal walk, the best place for a morning run or fresh walk, provides a healthy London lifestyle. The neighbourhood’s industrial warehouses and dingy side streets offer plenty of potential space waiting to be reimagined. Old brick warehouses have transformed into interactive art galleries, and countless buildings have served as Banksy’s canvases. Shoreditch’s appeal as a creative playground stems (at least, in part) from an urban, gritty underbelly, but clean-cut treasures aren’t in short supply—Shoreditch’s design sensibilities also influence its trendy pubs and cafes. • Beautiful clean apartment, very easy check in. The girls sent me a message to make sure I had arrived and checked in safely. There were things such as washing liquid that I could use. Great location too!!

    Mikayla2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Good location, not too far from the train stations and some of lonely planets suggested spots to go to. Cool little neighborhood with charm. Plenty of places to workout within walking distance. Also the bar/pub nearby Howl at the Moon has the best burger I have ever tasted in my life, don't miss it. Layout of flat was slightly different from what we expected but still nice. Everything worked and was clean. The only things off were really weather related, being that it was so windy, the doors and windows were rattling all night and the window shades needed to be replaced (some didn't come down all the way or move on the track correctly), so we had to be careful manipulating them. Other than that, great stay, great communication, and if you like to workout...lots of steps.

This single bedroom has wall to wall carpet on floors throughout, tastefully decorated and a shared bathroom. There is not a self catering option and no kitchen facilities apart from a mini fridge, kettle. Please be advised there is a security cameras at the main doors and on the stairs recording 24/7

  • Great place, in the perfect spot to get around in London

    Cameron2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything as advertised. The room is small but quiet as it doesn’t face the main road. There’s a mini fridge and a kettle so you can have breakfast or a cup of tea in bed in the morning. A hair-dryer and a towel are also provided. WiFi was good for watching Netflix on my computer. There are three rooms and a bathroom on each floor; the guests I shared the bathroom with were considerate and I slept well on both nights. The bathroom was also tidy and cleaned on a daily basis. Self check-in was easy and the room & building felt very safe, thanks to the smart locks. I appreciated being able to come and go as I pleased but Omar was always just a text away. I’d recommend this Airbnb if you’re in London for a couple of days and are looking for a no-frills, affordable accommodation. Just be aware that the room is on the second floor and the stairs are a bit steep so you might struggle if you have heavy luggage.

  • FIVE STAR AIRBNB! Location: 2 min walk from Kings Cross. Self check-in/out was easy. The host: Sue responded almost instantly on every request I had thruout my stay and she is very welcoming - Especially I noticed that she wouldn’t end any conversation without ensuring me that I shouldn’t hesitate to contact her in any matter - I mean, you cannot get a better host than that! The flat: In the basement - I understand if that would raise some concers - but hey, the air is as fresh as any other flat + it got a huge advantage being very silent and I slept like a baby :-). Good facilities for quick-meals and such. The Wifi was working perfectly and fast. In central London this is probably the best value for money one can get. I highly recommend this airbnb - especially because of the noiseless sleep and Sue’s OUTSTANDING hospitality :-D

    Kristian2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in a fantastic location, a couple of minutes away from King’s Cross Station. A good place to touch base when going around London, because it is in a basement (warm in winter days!) and for some people that might not be the best place for staying indoors. There are a number of stairs so keep that in mind in you’re going with heavy luggage. Sue’s answers were fast and extremely helpful.

    Terry2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's place is very basic but impeccably clean. It was cozy and met all the needs of an overnight stay with super quick, convenient access to King's Cross/St. Pancras. Kettle for tea in the evening and coffee in the morning was a nice touch, and the mini fridge and microwave made it easy to fix a snack. Thank you, Sue!

  • This is what appears to be a multi-level family home converted into a professional Airbnb space, consisting of about 6 units with one shared bathroom and a downstairs shared space (kitchen area). It is close to the street with some street noise present, but I always travel with earplugs and wasn't bothered by any noise. The balcony unit was quite nice, spacious enough, and had a kitchenette with a private refrigerator, freezer, sink, and stovetop. Overall it's a great little space for feeling at home while traveling, and it's a nice view of both some city life and a little greenery (park/canal). Decent price in an expensive city and good access (1 - 10 minutes walking) to busses and Underground.

  • The flat was very comfy, like you are in your own house. The elevator was a plus considering the luggage to carry on. The kitchen is well equipped and the mattress was nice. The building was very quite and the location was also good because you could find restaurants and mini markets very close to the flat. It worth in all aspects.

My lovely room is located next to Angel Tube Station in a shared flat. only 7 minutes walk. Only one stop from kings St pancreas on the northern line. Excellent location and you can find so many good Restaurants , just close by! Angle shopping centre with all major brand retailers. My place is good for couples, business travellers, and families (with kids).. You’ll love my place because of the neighbourhood, the ambiance, and the light.
My room is on the 3rd Floor, coming fully equipped and includes clean linen and towels. Very good for a business travellers as you have work desk the bedrooms and table light.
A really amazing neighbourhood right in the centre of London - a stone's throw from from most Central London Attractions the Angel Building in Islington transformed from an under-used early 1980s commercial block into an award-winning office space, reinvented by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM). The building, on a prominent site at the corner of St. John Street and Pentonville Road, provides 263,000 square feet (24,433 sq m) of high end office space, with a cafe, specially commissioned works of art and large roof terraces. The Gagosian is a cavernous space for exhibitions of the highest calibre. It is a major asset for the regeneration of the King's Cross area. The Gagosian has shown important contemporary artists at its locations in the UK, US and Italy. This is one of two venues in London with a smaller space at Davies Street, Mayfair. Notable artists represented by the Gagosian include Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Rachel Whiteread, Jake and Dinos Chapman, John Currin and Jeff Koons. The popularity the Gagosian name attracts is demonstrated by a Damien Hirst show

Equipped with the necessary things, it is perfect for a few days' stay. The only thing that can be disturbing is that the nightclub next to the building is quite noisy at night. I recommend!

A few public transportation stops nearby so you can easily move around the city from the flat. Would recommend to other and would definitely book again if the opportunity presents itself.

Nice private room available for up to 2 people in a 4 Bedroom apartment. Great location, only 5 Mins walk from Hoxton Station. We provide fresh bed linen and towels Please note you will be sharing the kitchen and bathroom with other guests. Feel free to book
Room comes with comfortable double bed , bedside table with lamp, wardrobe, big windows with lots of light, laminated floor. Kitchen is fully fitted with everything you need (fridge-freezer, cooker with 4 burners, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, plates, glasses, mugs, pots, pans etc.…) We provide tea, coffee and sugar There is a complete bathroom and an extra toilet.
Easy walk to Old Street, Liverpool Street, and Hoxton tube stations. What I love about Hoxton and Shoreditch is the great range of cafes and restaurants. In Summer all the action happens in Hoxton Square (a short walk from the flat) - the minute there's any sun the entire neighbourhood grabs some food and some drinks and determinedly makes the most of it. If you're working in the City it's an easy walk, or a short cycle on a hire bike. If you're heading into the West End you've got the choice of tube, bus, or cycle. On weekends it's an easy stroll to the Columbia Road flower market and the Brick Lane precinct. This area is blessed with some great bars - I like to start my Saturday night with a Vietnamese on Kingsland Road and then head to George & Dragon or the Builders' Arms. Hoxton and Shoreditch is a great place to live - I hope you enjoy your stay here.

  • Clean facilities and rooms, and simple instructions to follow.

    Elisha2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Emran's place is very conveniently located and at a high value price. Recommended for people looking for a mix of budget and a nice part of the city, the room is fairly spacious, the shared bathroom is large and clean. But the best part is that it is a great location for neighborhoods like Islington, which is where I did most of my visiting while in London, was about 20 minutes walk from there. Also near a beautiful canal that leads to Victoria's park that I recommend. Check in wasn't too challenging but the key box is at the back door instead of the front. Great value, great location.

A private spacious ,comfortable room in a 4 bedrooms apartment. The place also have own Private secure entrance, clean & tidy rooms. Make cleaning everyday all the shared areas Our flat is located in the heart of London, within two/three minutes' walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras station. It is perfect for exploring all the sites and attractions of London. Kings Cross and St. Pancras station provide excellent transport links by bus, tube, overground train, national and international trains.
King’s Cross might be best known for King’s Cross and St Pancras stations (plus Harry Potter’s Platform 9¾), but there is much more.Recent regeneration has made the area flourish. Bars and pubs in and around King’s Cross There are a host of other things to do as well, with outstanding clubs, music venues and museums nearby, much-loved green spaces, popular Granary Square and a pretty stretch of Regent’s Canal, all of which makes King’s Cross an ace destination in its own right.
    1. Track down Platform 9 and 3/4 It’s just plain bad luck that you didn’t get your enrolment letter for Hogwarts but you can still recreate the magical moment of trying to slam a luggage trolley through the wall of platform 9 and 3/4 at Kings Cross St Pancras. Trolley supplied. No idea what I’m talking about? Start here with the Harry Potter books. You’re welcome. How to do it: Wander around Kings Cross station long enough and you’ll find the platform.Be prepared to queue if you visit on a weekend. 2. Explore St Pancras Station inside and out Highlights of Kings Cross St Pancras: The Dent Clock – located on the upper floor, near the Eurostar, the Dent Clock is a replica completed within painstaking attention to detail after the original was dropped and shattering in a billion (guesstimate) pieces. The statue of John Betjeman – also on the upper floor, Mr Betjeman is famous for saving the station from being knocked down in the 1960s. The Meeting Place –  also known as the Lover’s statue, the original design had the lovers kissing but British prudishness prevailed and the lovers are more innocently knocking heads. You’ll find it under the Dent Clock. The Olympic Rings – you can now park your bottom on the rings that hung in the station while London hosted the 2012 Olympics. They have been carved up and turned into seating outside the Southeastern high speed platforms. Is Kings Cross and St Pancras the same station? Strictly speaking, Kings Cross and St Pancras are two separate stations. However, they are right next to each other, separated by one road. Since recent renovations, they are commonly referred to as one station – Kings Cross St Pancras. 3. Have a glass of Champagne at Europe’s longest Champagne bar Searcy’s Champagne bar, located on the upper floor of St Pancras Station, is in a perfect spot for some pre-Eurostar fizz. But that’s not its only attraction – it happens to be Europe’s longest Champagne bar, stretching 98 metres under the station’s sweeping glass roof. How to do it: Reservations aren’t required (why would they be – this is the longest Champagne bar in Europe) but you can book if you prefer. The bar serves food and afternoon tea as well as Champagne and other tipples. Tip: take a warm layer if you’re visiting in winter – all that glass makes for a chilling experience. The bar does provide blankets if you get cold but you may prefer your own items. 4. Visit the British Library With over 150 million items and a collection that dates back 3,000 years, a visit to the British Library should definitely be on your list of things to do near Kings Cross St Pancras. How to do it:  The free and permanent exhibition: Treasures of the British Library is the best way to see the highlights of the library, including the Magna Carta, Jane Austin’s notebook and lyrics written by the Beatles. Don’t miss: the statue of Sir Isaac Newton (pictured above) in the British Library Plaza. 5. Swing on an IFO Wait? What? Let me explain: an art installation, IFO (Identified Flying Object) is a giant bird cage that’s lit up at night. Mainly it’s grounded but on occasions it’s hoisted into the air to decorate the night sky. There’s also a swing inside it – suitable for adults and kids. Tried and tested. How to do it: The IFO is a short walk from Kings Cross St Pancras station opposite the German Gymnasium . You can find out more here. 6. Take a heritage walk near Kings Cross St Pancras Kings Cross has a thick history. It’s roots are in industry thanks to the railroads, but the two World Wars hit the area hard. As freight fell into decline, so did the surrounding neighbourhood. By the 1980’s, Kings Cross was so steeped in iniquity it had become one of the city’s red light districts. The German Gymnasium – built in 1864 for the German Gymnastics society, this was the first purpose-built gym in the UK., the gym is now a restaurant and bar. Gasholder No. 8 – one of the original gasholders from the station’s industrial days, it’s now a park because, what else do you do with an empty gasholder? The Granary – the previous function of this building is self-evident. Today it’s home to the world famous Central Saint Martins art college. Have a peak inside to see how vast the granary once was. How to do it: You can take a free self-guided walking tour using this downloadable guide (smartphone version also available). If you prefer to take a tour with someone who is bursting with local knowledge, check out Isabelle Seddon of Unique London Tours. 7. Enjoy some green space As with most major cities, green space is something you need to search out rather than stumble upon but there are a couple of options to put on your list of things to do near Kings Cross St Pancras if you do want some greenery. Gasholder No. 8 – as mentioned above, this former gasholder is now a park. Camely Street nature park – a wildlife reserve created from wasteland, Camley Street nature park is a mix of woodland, grassland and wetland by Regent’s Canal. Look out for birds, butterflies and amphibians. Skip Garden – an urban garden with flowers, veg and herbs, Skip Garden is a community effort that has been built from recycled materials. There’s a restaurant attached where you can taste the home-grown produce. 8. Dance in the dancing fountains at Granary Square If you wait for a warm sunny day to stand amongst the dancing water fountains in Granary Square, you might be waiting a while but you can always dip a toe…or just take a picture, shoes still firmly on. The Granary Square fountains are accessible all day, all year. Brave enough to go in? Your reward – the Granary Squirt App – control the fountains yourself and chase a snake of colour across the water sprays. 9. Eat, drink and shop at Coal Drops Yard Coal Drops Yard is one of the latest additions to the redevelopment around Kings Cross . Small but perfectly formed, if you have some time to kill between trains or just have a few hours to spare in London, Coal Drops Yard is a perfect thing to do near Kings Cross. Under 10 minutes by foot from the train station, you’ll find a small collection of shops, cafes, bars and eateries and, if nothing else, it’s a great place for a wander. 10. Graze your way through Canopy Market I probably should put this before Coal Drops Yard because if you turn up on a dry day when Canopy Market is on, you’d be better having a wander around the street food stalls than eat at one of the restaurants (subjective opinion from a street food fan). Canopy Market is everything about a street food and craft market that’s done well. It’s nicely spread out, there is adequate seating and a good selection of food, drinks and crafts are on offer. One of the things is the ability to grab a casual bite and glass of vino outdoors without spending a fortune on restaurant al fresco dining.  I can highly recommend the Toulouse sausages from the Flying Frenchman and Amala Chai served up some of the best chai I’ve had outside India. Given it’s London, you can also expect London gin, craft beers, wine and a Prosecco bar.  Interested in Prosecco? I have another website all about how to go tasting in The Prosecco region of Italy, just an hour outside Venice. 11. Stop for ice cream at Ruby Violet Small batch, organic and free-range, this high-end ice-cream parlour will leave you stuck for choice. How to do it: You can find Ruby Violet on the map 12. Take a walk along Regent’s Canal Now that you’ve got your ice cream in hand, and your umbrella in the other (probably, even in July – this is London), how about a stroll along Regent’s Canal? Narrowboats are not what immediately come to mind when you think of England’s capital but the canal has earned itself the title ‘Little Venice’. How to do it: The canal length is 8.5 miles (about 13.5 kilometres) from Paddington to Limehouse. Here is a route for walking a popular part of the canal from Camden to Limehouse. Dip out any time you like and catch the Tube back. 13. Take a boat ride along the canal For just £10, you can take a leisurely pootle up Regent’s Canal in a narrow boat. Perfect if you can’t be @rsed to walk or if the British weather isn’t on your side. Also, if you’ve never been on a narrow boat, you really should tick that off your bucket list.Trips take 1 hour one-way and just over 2 hours for a return trip. They only go a couple of times a day so time it right if you really want to add this to your list.  14. Get crafty at Drink, Shop & Do Apart from the delicious food, Drink, Shop & Do is much more than a place to fill your face. With a regular list of events that range from inappropriate Christmas card making to calligraphy and knitting workshops, Drink, Shop & Do is a great place if you’re looking for alternative or crafty things to do near Kings Cross St Pancras. 15. Visit the Charles Dickens Museum Stroll down Doughty Street and it’s very easy to imagine Charles Dickens ensconced inside number 48 working on what will become a future classic. His Victorian home where he wrote Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby has been beautifully restored. You can wander through his study and see where he slept and dined. Don’t miss the washer house copper that later featured in A Christmas Carol (Mrs Cratchett steamed her Christmas pudding in it). How to do it: The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday (closed Monday). The admission fee is £9. 16. Explore the Welcome Collection In short it explores health, life and art. There was a fascinating exhibition on forensic investigations when I popped in. How to do it: The galleries are open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. Admission is free. Find out what’s on with the Wellcome Collection website. 17. Refresh on the rooftop of Big Chill House Feel like you’ve been doing a lot of wandering around? A bit parched? Grab a seat and beverage on the rooftop of Big Chill House. How to do it: Food is available as well as drinks. And, don’t worry, the rooftop is covered in case London decides to rain. 18. Hone your skills at the Waitrose Cookery School the supermarket and cooking school occupies the old produce store and market that used to take the overspill goods from Billingsgate market. How to do it: Classes range from a couple of hours to a whole day. ? 19. Play video games downstairs at Simmons bar Pop into Simmons Bar in Kings Cross and it seems like any other bar, until you head downstairs. With a retro, non-flat screen tv and a Sega Megadrive, this equipment could be in a museum. But it’s not – it’s out for customers to play to their heart’s content. 20. Grab dinner at Dishoom However, if this small, independent chain offers in Kings Cross what it has out east, I’d recommend it in the blink of any eye. Replicating an old Irani cafe from Bombay, this is nothing like your typical British ‘curry house’. Expect small sharing dishes packed with Indian flavours. The problem with Dishoom is that you can’t book unless you’re a large group. There is a bar where you can wait but arrive on a Saturday night at 8pm and not only will you have to queue to get into the bar, the queue may be so long that you may never get to the front before the restaurant closes. Best bet – go early (before 6:30pm), visit mid-week and expect a wait. 21. Learn some wicked dance moves Drink, Shop & Do is so full of fun activities, it gets a second mention on this list. And, I think you’ll agree that any place that will teach you how to shake your booty, deserves it. How to do it: There’s an ever changing list of dance classes on at Drink, Shop & Do. 22. Sleep in a prison cell at Clink 78 Fun fact: Clink 78 was once a courthouse and the courtroom has been refurbished into a common room – why not grab a coffee and relax in the judge’s chair? How to do it: Clink offers a range of rooms including dorms and private rooms. However, I recommend one of the prison cells. The rooms are English Heritage listed with the original prison/police custody features. Rooms start from £65 per cell per night. Booking ahead because the cells are popular.  23. Take the Eurostar There are plenty of things to do near Kings Cross St Pancras but it’s also an airport-free way to get off the British Isles and onto the continent of Europe. The Eurostar is one of my favourite ways to travel and I find it’s often quicker and cheaper than taking a flight. Plus: packing a Eurostar Champagne picnic makes you feel like you’re travelling first class no matter which seat you’re in. You won’t get that on
  • Convenient place in central London, we had a pleasant stay.

    Glenn2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just across the road from Kings Cross and St Pancras station and central to everything. Warm and clean room, that’s all you need.

    Ken2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Matt has been the guy welcoming me for my stay. He was very kind and presented me promptly and efficiently the room and the accommodation. He was very reactive the days before about my arrival time. The apartment was clean, nothing to say. I spent a good night as I needed. I highly recommend if you need a stay in a very convenient location in London.

    Michael2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We chose a small room and were offered a bigger one for the same price because we were alone in the shared flat. Host was very nice and quick to respond messages. Very good for the price and easy to access from St Pancras.

  • A small but cosy room with everything you need. Good value for money. Very good location. Exact directions - I knew exactly what to expect.

    Magdalena2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Especially good for people with an early flight out of Luton as the St Pancras station is at 200m

Very comfortable terraced studio in Angel Islington. Convenient for your travel and work.
  • Takako's place was absolutely amazing. First off, the communication was very well. She was quick to respond and she was very helpful at check in. Second, Highbury and islington station was within walking distance, which made it extremely easy to get around. Around her place was markets and pubs. Went to a great restaurant for Christmas dinner. Third, the place was very clean which I really appreciated. The bed was comfortable, the shower was GREAT. We were able to wash our clothes as well. All in all, would definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our time at takako's place.

  • Nice place to stay, cleanest in London...

    Nanni2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This has by far bee one of my best Airbnb experiences. I cannot recommend Takako's place enough. The space is clean, much larger than the pictures, and comes with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. This place is a gem!

  • Cute little studio apartment perfect for a weekend in London. Well connected with the tube a 15 min walk and many buses a 2 min walk from the flat. Nice having a little kitchen and the shower was really powerful and hot. The apartment was really clean too!

  • Great apartment, easy to find, great value for money and has everything you need for a quick visit to the city. A short walk from the Business Design Centre so it's a great stop for visiting conferences there.

This room is in the quiet residential area of Islington, slap-bang between the raw urban cool of Hoxton, Shoreditch, and Dalston; the style, culture and sophistication of Islington's Upper Street; and the bustle of the City.
  • Micci was a wonderful host for the time I spent in London and her home was very comfortable for me! If you are considering booking, go ahead and do it! It’s a comfortable room and in a quiet part of town that affords easy access to Shoreditch. The bed was also very comfortable! So do yourself a favor and book it already!

    Jackson2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place to stay! Location is ace - quiet but a stone's throw from transport routes. Micci is lovely and really made me feel welcome and looked after, without ever being too much. I will absolutely stay here again. See you soon, Micci!

    Marion2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here! Islington is a wonderful area to wander around in & transit was easy to access. Micci was very friendly and easy to communicate with. It felt like the perfect balance, of having my own private space, but also a welcoming host. I made coffee every morning in the room, which was great. I’d absolutely stay here again or recommend to a friend. (I’m sure the patio is lovely to use in summer.)

    Kairi2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • It’s my second stay in Micci’s. I can say she is the best host! When I get to visit London again, I would choose Micci’s. Everything is comfy and convenient. The neighborhood is full of charm, as well.

    Hyunjung2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely 2 night stay at Micci's place last week. The room itself was very comfortable with everything I needed. Micci herself was a great host and made me feel very welcome. Thanks Micci for a great stay!

    Sarah2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved everything about the stay at Micci’s. Angel/Islington is a great area in itself, and everything else was easy to walk to or take the bus. The bathroom was spotless and the huge bath was a great addition. Didn’t get to use the outdoor space much since it was winter but I’m sure it’s a perfect place to sit and have coffee in the summer. Micci herself is a great, caring host who made me feel welcome and at home. Would stay again!

  • Marianne's place was just as described in the advertisement. Our room was clean and the shared bathroom was clean as well. Definitely a budget stay, but a tidy one. Marianne was very responsive to us during our stay, answering questions nearly immediately.

Eat, drink and party in King's Cross King's Cross is full of lively bars, some of which are relatively new to the area, such as, the Spanish Camino, Drink Shop Do and VOC. • We recommend if you are looking for a place to sleep! Anyway, the most important thing is the cleanliness and quietness of the lodging, because most of the day is spent outside and when you return to the lodging, you are tired and washed right away! The hostel was clean, so I felt more clean because it gave me new futon sheets, blankets, and pillows. The shower was also clean. When I went, the surroundings were quiet, and even those who stayed in the same room slept early, so there was no inconvenience in sleeping. I took the accommodation here for the Tottenham game, but it wasn't dangerous for the woman to return to the hostel alone after the game!

I’m not sure if I was lucky or what but I stayed when it wasn’t a busy there so everything was clean and overall nice experience here. I would probably come back again if I was visiting the city during off season.

This charming and cosy, newly refurbished STUDIO with ENSUITE overlooks the pretty walled back garden and is on the first floor of an attractive, double-fronted Georgian property in the sought after location BARNSBURY, ISLINGTON, NORTH LONDON.
There is a small double bed with storage underneath, a pull-down table and chair, a good-sized wardrobe with hanging space and drawers, a bookshelf with a cupboard, a bedside chair, black-out blinds and curtains. There is also a TV/DVD in the STUDIO and INTERNET/BROADBAND connection. A door off the room leads to a fully-equipped KITCHEN, comprising a sink, microwave (plus convection oven and grill), a hob, a fridge with ice box, toaster and kettle. Additional and more extensive facilities are available in a newly-fitted garden kitchen for sole-use which includes a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, sink, oven and microwave, 4-ring induction hob and ample cupboards. The accommodation boasts a newly-fitted ENSUITE, comprising power shower, pedestal basin, toilet, mirrored bathroom cabinet with ample storage and a razor socket. ALL BILLS ARE INCLUDED! In the current extenuating circumstances the safe cleaning of all these areas will be discussed with any potential guest. Please note: there is one cat residing in the main part of the house. This is a non-smoking property and the room is for single occupancy only. In terms of enjoying the outdoors, there is an attractive park diagonally opposite the house (1 minute walk away) and nestled within the idyllic residential setting of BARNSBURY. There are also 3 highly recommended local pubs with outside spaces and beautiful beer gardens but due to the Covid safe distancing measures in place at the moment these are currently closed.
The property is ideally located in a very central, prime London location with a diverse range of attractions to suit all. The surrounding area exudes a village atmosphere in contrast to nearby Upper Street with its endless choice of high quality restaurants and bars, award-winning gastro pubs, a wide range of high street shops, designer coffee shops and one-off boutiques.

  • This studio has everything you need (and more) for a comfortable and private stay in London. The studio is very welcoming, super clean and beautifully decorated. Clare is a wonderful host and very easy to get in touch with. She balances perfectly the respect for privacy and communication. I felt completely safe all the time. The neighborhood is very charming, British and idyllic with lovely streets, buildings, fantastic pubs and restaurants- and great shopping options. It’s close to central London but away from busy streets- it’s the perfect location. I highly recommend this place- and Clare!

  • Amazing space, with everything you could need for your stay. Clare is a wonderful host, and always ready to offer local suggestions if needed, but also happy to leave you in peace and quiet. Lovely and quiet area, but a nice walk to hustle and bustle of Islington and Angel..with easy transport across London. Highly recommended.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Clare's studio. It was exactly as described and perfect for my stay in London. It was cozy but well set out. If you fancied cooking a meal, there was plenty of equipment that you could use. It was also lovely having a newly refurbished bathroom and everything was very clean. Clare was extremely kind and her flexibility with timing really helped to make my trip less stressful and more enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful stay Clare! I shall be back ;-)

  • Clare's room, with attached kitchenette and ensuite, is a lovely place to stay. It was comfortable, quiet, and very well equipped, as described. The wardrobe is excellent and let me spread my things out without cluttering up the space. The location is very pretty, and with buses and trains in easy walking distance, it was ideal for me. Clare is a great host.
