Holiday rentals with lake access in Edinburgh

I rented an apartment for my parents for a week and we are very satisfied. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. In addition, Marcin was very kind, asked if we were missing anything, and answered all the questions. Our stay was just the best. The location was beautiful, peaceful and quiet with its own loch and kayaks which the children loved. It was also close by to local amenities and many places to visit nearby. The house was so spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and Theresa had very kindly left us some groceries, a very welcome addition. Pets were also welcomed and it was a great place for dogs to run around in. We would not hesitate to recommend Theresa’s house as it had everything and more that we were looking for.

A great place to spend your vacation, or just a few days to relax and get away from the routine. Very attentive host and great to negotiate with.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mani's. He is such a kind and considerate person that goes out of his way to help. The place is very clean, is on the outer edge of the city, but busses are across the street. Three different busses that go to the city center, so no long waits. Mani was very responsive to my questions and even gave me a very early morning ride to meet a bus tour. I would highly reccommend a stay there.

We had an amazing stay at Seb’s place for our girls weekend! The photos don’t do the space justice, the area is very peaceful and it is located within beautiful surroundings. Seb was very responsive and also allowed us to have a later check out which was very helpful! We also used the boat on the property which was great fun and the cottage was the perfect base for visiting other activities in the area (Peebles, Go Ape etc.). Seb also allowed us to park a fifth car and so he was very accommodating with all of our requests. There were plenty of kitchen utensils/appliances to make our stay very comfortable. Seb even left us some cake to welcome us which was a really nice touch!

A brilliant location tucked away in amongst the hills of Innerleithen. Perfect if you’re looking to disconnect from the digital world and ask your devices, and perfect proximity to some of the best mountain biking facilities in the UK. Make sure you pack some Smidge as those Scottish midges are relentless!

Salma was a great host. Always responsive and friendly. Very flexible with check in. The flat was perfect for my daughter and I visiting friends and family at university. Plenty of room. Great location to all the city offers, on foot. Very clean. Very comfortable beds. We would highly recommend Selma’s flat. It has everything you could need. We will be sure to stay here again when we come back.

We loved our stay at Newhall Estate. The stable flat was gorgeous. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, quality linen and it felt like a lovely luxurious stay. Really close to Edinburgh but it felt like another world and we loved coming home and taking a walk around the grounds. Would strongly recommend.

Very nice, friendly people, that were always eager to help. The accommodation was same as on the photos, clean and calm. A big advantage for me was the possibility to use the kitchen. Location is good, too - it's a 30 minutes bus trip to the city center. Pleasant surprise was that it's quite close to the airport and I was able to take a bus to the airport even at night (I leaved around 3am)! Overall, strongly recommend.

I had a fantastic time. The host was exceptional, helpful, and kind. He was responsive and promptly shared useful tips for quick and easy access to the building and room and also exploratory suggestions about the area. I also enjoyed my conversations with him as he was very welcoming. My stay was enjoyable and peaceful. The location is also well situated. Highly recommend.

Leslie's home is warm and cosy, I'm really happy to have chose it! Leslie is a really nice host, very reactive and helpful if you need anything. He's also very discreet while being thoughtful (he left me some biscuits sometimes in the morning for breakfast and some truffles made by his friend were waiting for me when I get back home one day) You can trust this accommodation 100%, the view is beautiful and peaceful, with the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Transports are also very easy to access, you can go almost everywhere! Nothing short of amazing! A nature lover’s paradise (even with the Scottish weather). Got dry weather for an hour one morning haha so had a lovely breakfast in the garden. Met two tiny (literally newborn) lambs in the field next to us! All wobbly on their feet. So cute!! Friendly hosts, very clean and well decorated.

A lovely place to stay with family for Easter weekend. Really easy to check in and the host made sure we had everything we needed. Easy access to Edinburgh via the park and ride. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable and tidy apartment with bright modern interior in a beautiful old stable block set in the lovely rolling grounds of a country house. All amenities to hand in spacious rooms. Good well equipped kitchen, large bathroom with bath and generous shower, all spotless. Ample sitting room with sofa bed and bedroom with large bed and super-clean linen. Nicola was a friendly, welcoming and attentive host who responded promptly and helpfully to any queries. All in all a great, peaceful and enjoyable stay in a very well appointed property within 40 mins of both Edinburgh and Glasgow. We wouldn't hesitate to come back. Thanks, Nicola!!

The Boathouse is a fantastic getaway. Sitting on the deck watching the sunrise in the morning and seeing the stars at night was a wonderful experience. A lovely little kitchen which everything is provided. Such a wonderful place and I will have lovely memories! Thanks Gill and your team.
