Farmstay holiday rentals in Honshu

Was perfect for our stay, managed to relax between walks. lovely and quiet away from the main road, but not far by car from Hongu Taisha for shops and restaurants

Our stay was wonderful. It was our first ever stay in Japan. When we landed later than expected, M stayed up for us. I also messed up on the amount of people I reserved. M was super understanding and we were able to change the booking with her that night. She also gave us a good list of local restaurant recommendations. As well as home made blueberry honey jam which was delicious. The cabin itself is super nice, comfy, cozy and so peaceful. It was a great stay and I would highly recommend. I don’t know when I will be back in Japan, but when I do, I will be back.

The whole family used it, but the owner was kind to our children and our grandmother, sometimes having fun, and we had a good time. There was also an irori fireplace, and the food was delicious, and it was a night of drinking and talking. Thank you very much.

Great stay in the mountainside of Japan but still very accessible by car. Hosts were an elderly couple (Yuka's parents) whom really went the mile to make sure we're welcomed and at home. My mother had the delight of partaking in Ikebana with Yuka's mom on the following morning of our stay, essentially a short trip to gather flowers in nearby areas and then back to the house for a flower arrangement tutorial. Lovely people that takes care of a lovely place, thank you for the hospitality!

Makato is a really friendly and very proactive host who gave us a map of the whole town to show what he recommended. His guesthouse was very cosy and it was equipped with everything we needed. Also, the house is only a short walk from many shops and restaurants.

Such a beautiful home and area! I hope to come back again to stay and explore more. Hosts were kind and very communicative from start to finish. Best part is that they’ll pick you up from the station and drop you off at the airport. I highly recommend staying here, such a relaxing stay away from the big city.

It was very comfortable and I felt at home.The interior is clean and well equipped.There is a supermarket and a convenience store nearby.The high-speed interchange is also close, but I didn't have to worry about the sound. The person who supported us was also very kind and we had a comfortable vacation.

I came with 6 women.We received information in advance, so we shopped in Tsuruya, checked in, went to the dragonfly hot water, and drank in the room while cooking slowly.The kitchen is small, but the refrigerator is large.There are minimal condiments, but we brought our own used condiments and cooking utensils.The bed was large, clean and comfortable.I'd love to visit again if I get the chance. We had an amazing 3 days at Hitoshi's. Every day we were amazed by the meals all prepared by Emiko and Hitoshi. In addition to the delicious meals, the Goemon-buro bath prepared by Hitoshi was one of the most enjoyable moments of the day! Hitoshi and Emiko were particularly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The area is really very beautiful and we highly recommend a stay in Sugi no ko! Thank you!!

A spacious & beautiful house. Bring a large group! We enjoyed playing in the snow outside, and short walk or drive to the Monkey Park. The house was spotless, and very comfortable.

We had an amazing time staying in this authentic Japanese traditional house that blends classic charm with modern comforts. The place was really clean and well kept, and you can tell Xian Jie, the owner pays attention to all the little things, which made it feel really cozy. The best part was definitely the brand-new private onsen—such a nice way to relax and made the trip way better. I highly recommend this place, and strongly suggest booking the optional dinner and breakfast to fully enjoy the authentic Japanese hospitality and cuisine made with local ingredients. This stay offers a perfect blend of tradition, comfort, and luxury for an unforgettable experience. Thumbs up👍

Excellent accomodation with serene and peaceful location tucked away near the mountains. Great to switch off and relax with a private onsen. Spacious apartment with great amenities provided. Big highlight is the offer to have dinner at hiro’s partners restaurant which was a privately cooked meal which was one of the best meals I’ve had this decade. Would recommend this place e to anyone of my friends

BEAUTIFUL stay! We absolutely loved staying here. We couldn’t believe how beautiful and peaceful a place could be when it’s only 8 minutes to the airport. Such a kind host with delicious peaches!!!!! This was also a great stat for our baby (7 months). We recommend this stay to everyone!

My second stay with Tomoyuki since two years ago. Everything went beautifully as expected. The weather was not cooperating on one of the four days but that allowed me to stay in to enjoy this vintage tradition home and felt the tranquility it presented itself on a rainy day. The hike nearby was kimochīi (feeling great). The izakayas recommended were subarashī (wonderful). Tomo introduced me to spend a day at Mashiko. The famous pottery town was preparing for the upcoming Golden Week event and I appreciated "the calm before the storm" time strolling the quiet town. Some keepsakes were bought. I look forward to another visit soon, maybe in a different season to appreciate the range of activities available around the area.

Lianne is a super friendly and responsive host. The place is cozy as your own home with the great pellet stove.
