Walden is located in the middle of the unique backdrop landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded banks surround the meadows. With grasslands, water and patches of forest in between. It looks cosy, those grasslands between the trees. Smûk, as we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area was also gifted with pingos from the Ice Age. Located in the middle of 2 National Parks: Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. An ideal area for cycling and walking.

Relax in the countryside at the Veluwse Wijnhoeve in Otterlo. De Schaapskooi is fully equipped for 6 people, including a wash machine. And it features a lovely wood-burning stove! Plenty of sunny and shady spots in the garden and private parking for 3 cars. From this beautiful location, there are plenty of cycling and walking routes, and it's a 10-minute walk to the village and the woods. You're also very welcome to sit in the vineyard. After an inspiring day in Amsterdam, it is wonderful to come "home" to this original apartment, which was built in an old hay barn in the village of Watergang. Where everything is available for a relaxing stay for 2-4 people. Very suitable for a nice vacation or long stay. Free bikes for every guest and free canoes and a kayak available. Bohemian Farmhouse is not a standard holiday home. It feels like staying in a private museum, filled with art, objects and atmosphere. A place for people who value quiet, character and space (but still close to Amsterdam). The backhouse is what we offer for rent: this used to be the stables in the old days and is now a big, open space with an upstairs. The house is surrounded by a 800m2 garden, included the space under the haystack.
