Barn holiday rentals in South West England

We had a wonderful break at this beautiful place, waking to the dawn chorus every day, listening to the owls in the evening, and even saw a couple of deer in the garden, absolutely beautiful. The spa was lovely, and was such a great experience to have it to ourselves, we felt very relaxed after our long weekend stay. Fordingbridge not far to eat and drink/shop for groceries, and beautiful New Forest walks only a few minutes in the car, would highly recommend, thank you so much… and the welcome cake was lovely too!

Our first proper visit to Dartmoor was a great experience, largely thanks to the comforts of Francesca’s beautiful barn. It is “in the middle of nowhere” yet only just down the road really from a pub and shop. The location offers a perfect place to explore the local area. The kitchen and living areas are spacious and the bedrooms were comfortable. It is well laid out as part of three houses together and offers considerable privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay with friends and family. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed, from all kitchen appliances, extra blankets, and board games. We loved our stay and would stay again. Thank you

We absolutely loved our time at Sara and Rob’s place. An idyllic location with great facilities at the barn. Sara and Rob were welcoming, kind, and patient. Would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Owl Barn. The barn was comfortable and had everything we needed for our staycation. It is a beautiful place inside and out. Jon left lots of information and was on hand when we needed help with the heating. We can’t wait till we can come and stay again!

We loved our stay at the barn,, super cosy and peaceful ! Bridget & Mark were both lovely hosts and helped us to find our way there.! Everything was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfy !!! Lots of cosy blankets to keep warm in front of the fire on cold winter evenings too ~ I would say make sure to bring a pair of wellies just in case, as it rained before we arrived and had to make a short walk across the field to get to the car and my shoes got very muddy ! Overall a great place to stay & just wish we could have stayed for longer !

A group of us stayed at the bunkhouse and had a very comfortable stay. We loved the location for local walks. There was plenty of room for the 13 of us that stayed. Lots of hot water for showers and warm cosy kitchen! Thanks so much for having us Kate :-)

We had such a great stay here! The location is stunning, with gorgeous countryside views—perfect for a peaceful escape. The bedrooms are spacious with super comfy beds. David is a fantastic host - really responsive and helpful from start to finish. Would definitely recommend the Barn!

A delightful place to stay with everything I need. Always clean with lovely finishing touches. I have stayed here a few times and continue to do so.

Liz was a wonderful host: we checked ourselves in (there’s a keybox but the key had been left in the door for us) and Liz knocked on the door to say hi! She was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We were so impressed with the space: it is spacious and open, very clean and has everything we needed (including a couple of games to keep us entertained). The bed is really comfy, and it was perfect to go to sleep/wake up to the skylight window above us. Easy vicinity to get to all the sights we wanted to see by car. The instructions were helpful and clear so that we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived and we got exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay, the area is lovely, great local pub and close to everything that we wanted to see. Helpful easy instructions on how to get into the property and recommendations on good places to visit locally. The barn was very cool, cosy and aesthetically pleasing. Everything we needed available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Thatch. Lisa was a fantastic host, and we particularly loved the animals, especially Horace the peacock. The location was perfect, as were the scones and prosecco that we greatly appreciated! They were a lovely extra touch. The Airbnb was very cosy, had everything we could have needed, and there was great attention to detail. All in all a wonderful stay!

I booked the place for my brother and his gf for his 30th weekend. They loved it and Catherine went out of the way to make them feel welcome and even but up decorations. Would highly reccomend!

Such a great find, so peaceful. The cottage had everything we needed & more. Very comfy & warm. Dog proof cottage & garden with lots of walks on your doorstep. Loved meeting the curious cows. Hope to revisit in the future. Xxx

A beautiful place to stay. Stunning beams in the bedroom, very well restored, spotless modern bathroom with infa red sauna and electric shower. Lots of wildlife can be heard at night. Fantastic wood burner with under floor heating downstairs. Easy walk to Exford. Great village shop with all you need and 2 pubs. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps which was an 8 mile round trip but a great excursion in glorious late February sunshine. Lovely view from the garden at the pub at Tarr Steps and the food was good too. We love Exmoor as it is an unspoilt gem with so much peace and nature to surround yourself in. Everyone you meet is friendly which also helps. Photos of this place do not do it justice!

A lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights - nothing really to do in the area so more for if you’re wanting to get away from it all. Very well equipped and clean. Excellent host, really friendly and great communication. Would definitely stay again if we were to travel back to the area. We were staying for a wedding at treetop escapes - very close to the venue

I would certainly recommend Judy‘s accommodation at the Piggery. Bright clean comfortable. Well equipped. Judy was very easy to communicate with.

We had really relaxing time in such a comfortable and homely place - so well appointed and comfortable. Excellent walking within short distances and lovely views from the property itself. Miranda and Aaron were really welcoming and friendly - the curry we all enjoyed on the first evening was delicious and a great idea! All the instructions were clear and accurate and communication always promptly responded to . Highly recommended!

We had a lovely week away with your 3 year old who absolutely loved the "holiday house". Everything was spotlessly clean, lots of essentials were provided and we felt very welcome as Pam & Geoff were friendly and helpful. Nearby to plenty of attractions and so made a good base for our trip. We would certainly visit again.

Had a lovely stay in the Cotswolds. The lodge was beautifully clean- particularly appreciated the fresh daffodils on arrival. My dog loved the enclosed field at the back of the property. Was easy to drive to the nearby towns to explore.
