Villa holiday rentals in South West England

Each summer a U.K. FAMILY holiday is planned for three generations ..ages 5 up to well quite a lot! The choice this year was to go to Simons place.and what a find for everyone. A characterful house. Inside spacious spotless , kitchen brilliant ,, bedrooms roomy , bathroom ( particularly first floor) fabulous, living room so homely with Simons personal collection of books, his piano, homeliness beyond, and with cable Tv Incorporating Sports channels , and Netflix and Prime Video . Outside the decking in the rear garden a wonderful morning sun trap , the front garden full of charm with BBQ facilities and two squirrels nicknamed Bill and Bob..there every morning … The location very peaceful , parking at front and rear of property . Local shops , and the beach within easy 5-10 minutes walk and buses same time away into Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch . A wonderful seven days

We had a great stay, even in January, and the house was perfect for us (6 adults, a 4-year old, 2 dogs) The house was warm and spacious with lots of kids toys and extremely well equipped. The hot tub in the garden is a lovely addition, despite high winds meaning we couldn’t always use it! It’s well located near Cowes and its amenities, amidst other houses but on a quiet road, with great views because it’s on a hill and very near the sea, though not a beach as such. We would certainly return if we can.

We absolutely loved Joanna's place and had a great weekend. It was extremely comfortable and in the perfect position to enjoy the beach and everything around us. Our dogs were also very happy and the garden was safe and secure for them with a bit of grass. The house is well laid out. The bedroom was comfortable and the linen first class. Joanna was helpful and welcoming and available at all times. Highly recommended!

Nous avons adoré la villa, très confortable, décorée et spacieuse. Nous étions 5 (puis 9 sur une soirée), nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis à l'étroit. Le village du Tot est idéalement situé pour se déplacer à vélo vers la plage et les petits commerces. Pensez à apporter vos masques de nuits pour les chambres au premier étage (double et deux lit 1 place) si comme nous, vous avez besoin de sombre pour dormir. Notre fils n'a pas été dérangé du tout par cela. La literie très confortable dans chaque chambre, avec de bons oreillers. Grand jardin sans vis à vis avec mobilier. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

We absolutely loved staying at the Sandcastle. The setting and the beach is incredibly beautiful. The house perfectly accommodated our two families lots of space for everyone. So many things to enjoy we honestly didn’t want to go anywhere! The games room, swimming pool, hot tub and steam room are delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed Sandcastle and meeting Micheal.

Wir waren 2 Wochen mit 2 Familien mit jeweils zwei Mädchen (9,7,6) in Portbail. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und hat eine tolle Aufteilung. Man merkt, dass Claire und Basile selber Eltern sind, denn es gab jede Menge Dinge, die Eltern, auch von kleineren Kindern, das Leben einfacher machen. Es gab einen Wickeltisch mit Heizlüfter und Windeleimer, Nachtlichter, schöne Möbel in den Kinderzimmern, ein großes Klettergerüst im Garten und im großzügigen, offenen Wohnküchebereich Spielkisten, eine Spielküchen und Bücher. Man kann sehr schön im privaten Garten sitzen und es gibt eine Außendusche, in der man den gröbsten Sand schon abduschen kann. Von der Dusche betritt man einen Wirtschaftsraum, in dem man auch waschen und trocknen kann. Der Strand ist in 5 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen und bietet bei Ebbe ein "Riff", an dem es viel zu entdecken gibt. Auch schön bei Wind: zwischen den Felsen am semaphore beach, carteret. Portbail hat einen super Bäcker und nette kleine Geschäfte. Lieblingsort!

We had a fantastic stay. The house was very comfortable and larger than we expected was perfect for three generations and our two dogs. Was brilliant for our break and there is plenty to do in the area, if you have a car.

This property is well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for access to all local areas of interest. The instructions from the host were clear and regular so there were no issues or problems.

Great place with really nice outside space. It was kitted out really well.

Hilton was always responsive, great house, location and had almost everything we needed. Would recommend this accommodation and my family was happy over Xmas, the Xmas tree was a plus we did not expect but was perfect for the time of year! We had a great time thanks Hilton & Vivenne.

We loved our stay at the beach. Such a beautiful location and so different than our sand beaches we have in the US. The rocky beach may not be for everyone but it was perfect for us as we weren't going to be swimming in April anyways. The house itself was wonderful and inviting - nothing bad to say about it.

A wonderful home that would be great for families. Close to the pubs and shops of bembridge but fantastically well appointed for cosy times in the house as well. Cannot fault the house and would love to stay again

Oldbury Barn is in a lovely location in the countryside with great views (though tricky to find, so the 'what3words' helped a lot!). The house was nicely presented and lovely and clean. Plenty of pots, pans, mugs (!) utensils etc for a large family group. The open plan nature of the kitchen/diner/lounge is great for a multi generational family gathering like ours, as you are always all together in one huge room. However, note that its a tiled floor and there isn't much in the way of soft furnishings so noise echoes around a bit and can be heard from all bedrooms - but this is only a problem if you have very young kids going to bed early or getting up early! The 2 ground floor bedrooms are large and with lots of storage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small with very low ceilings and little storage - fine for kids but we were were 7 adults and one toddler, so that didnt work brilliantly for us . The "slight height restriction" in the description is quite an understatement!!

wir haben unseren aufenthalt sehr genossen. das haus ist sehr komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. der blick auf das meer und den strand superschön. in der gegend kann man viele tolle ausflüge machen oder einfach eine ruhige woche im haus mit langen strandspaziergängen verbringen.

Lovely family home in the heart of the new forest. Was perfect for a pre Christmas getaway with lovely fireplace and warm Arga in the kitchen. Ian and team were very accommodating and it was lovely to have our two cocker spaniels with us to enjoy long daily walks in the forest. Will definitely be back again

An absolutely unique and beautiful house, set amongst lovely grounds. The Christmas tree in the living room was such a nice touch as was the welcome basket full of goodies. We can thoroughly recommend exploring the woods and beach path behind the property. We loved sitting by the fire reading and hanging out in the cinema room in the evening. Thank you for such a quiet and peaceful stay.

Many thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us so we could enjoy a wonderful long weekend. Upon arrival we received a welcome visit from James, who was very helpful and informative. The house was even better than we had expected and had everything we could have asked for. It comfortably fit 12 people. We thankfully had beautiful weather so made good use of the outdoor space and bbq. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this property to my friends and family. Thank you 🤩

Nos critères étaient plage a proximité, piscine chauffée, tranquilité, nature, sports nautiques et machine a laver. Tous les critères étaient remplis. nous sommes une famille deux adultes deux enfants de 9et 11ans. un endroit magique. a deux pas de la plage vous découvrez un avre de paix. un jardin magnifique avec des palmiers énormes. la piscine est vraiment chouette. de vrais espaces intérieurs comme extérieurs pour tout le monde. nous étions 4 mais facile pour 8. une superbe cuisine. bcp d attention comme les pastilles du lave vaisselle, des produits ménagers, sel poivre du café... tout est pensé. le secteur est top pour les activités nautiques a deux minutes. Cherbourg a 10min et les pointes du Cotentin a 15min. juste top a refaire. des hôtes au top. n hésitez pas. Merci encore.

Lovely cottage for our trip. The downstairs bedroom was lovely as our parents struggle with stairs and has a bathroom as well. The kitchen was just ideal in terms of what we needed. The park had loads of things to do. Our little one loved the swimming pool. A nice place to stay for a small family

Had a wonderful time. The place felt very secluded with amazing amenities and stunning sea view. Neil was very friendly and helpful too and even left us chocolates and champagne to help us celebrate a special occasion. Would love to stay here again sometime.

Excellente maison! Cosy, nous avons un très bon moment! Tout y est fonctionnel. Les enfants ont aimé la piscine, le salon, le jardin les chambres enfin tout! We had a wonderful weekend break, the property was everything it was described to be. It was exceptionally clean, and spacious. The pool was a fantastic addition that was available for us to use when we wanted. Lucy was a fantastic host. She was available to answer questions about the property before we even booked. She was friendly and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Augustin was very approachable and helped when my daughter was poorly. Answered lots of questions before arrival. Lovely, quiet rural area. Pool was a complete winner. Garden large. Lots of space for children to run around. Beaches were always quiet and vast. We liked the local World War II museum, bakery, bicuiterie and beach bar. All about 20 mins walk or drive and find an easy parking space. If you are taking small children (the house has a great cot), I would advise to take a high chair and a stair gate. We did and it was handy to have. A lovely, sunny week in France. Thanks Augustin….

We had a great stay. The house is beautiful and well set up for a family. It’s a well thought out space, with access from outside straight into a bathroom meaning pool access was easy! Our kids loved coming back from days out and being able to get in the pool. Laetitia and her son were really helpful before and during our stay. I would highly recommend.
